My Stepbrother,My Crush,My Mate

~Amara~"Nico…Nicholas?"I stuttered his name. My voice was almost a whisper. Patricia's eyes widened when she learned that I already knew his son even before she could introduce him to me.Who wouldn't know the notorious green eyes on campus? Troublemaker, that is how teachers and some students called him. I couldn't believe that out of a million good boys out there, Nico had to be my step-brother.Now his green eyes made sense, he inherited them from his mother and the good looks too. Nico looked at me lazily. His jet-black hair was a mess like always and Some locks fell on his forehead. For the first time, I looked into those green eyes of Nicholas from nearby and my heart skipped a beat."Wait! You two know each other?"Patricia asked, a deep frown settling on her delicate features and I nodded my head while Nico didn't bother. I wasn't sure if he knew me because we never talked since he moved to our campus one year ago.All I have ever done is look at him from afar while he kissed a

~Amara~All eyes turned towards me when my highly-pitched scream pierced through the air. I saw confusion and surprise on my fellow student's faces but I didn't care that much about it, all I wanted was to get to Nicholas and Luke to stop them from fighting. As though Luke didn't hear me scream, he punched the confused Nicholas on the cheeks again and he stumbled backwards.Nicholas gained his composure and punched Luke back, before he could punch him for the second time, I got between them and held Nicholas's fist which was about to smash Luke's face."Please don't do it,"I shook my head at him and he looked me deep in the eyes.Unexplainable emotions flashed in his green alluring eyes which I couldn't wrap my fingers around.Nicholas lowered his hand and I was glad that for the first time, he listened to me. Fear crept into my heart when I realised that his lower lip was broken and bleeding. My heart ached inside my chest and I stretched my hand to wipe blood from the corner of his li

~Nicholas~I looked at the wooden mahogany door blankly even after Amara had walked out of the room.Heaving a deep sigh, I walked to the window and looked in the distance.I recalled what happened back on campus between Luke and I. The Memories made my heart twist inside my chest. The feeling I hadn't felt for a while. It hurt me when Amara protected Luke over me. I wanted her to side with me because Luke was the one who began to punch me out of nowhere. When Amara held my hand and asked me to stop, it felt like all the energy was drained from my hands and I pulled it back."Damn it!"I cursed under my breath when I remembered the incident. I wanted to teach Luke a lesson so that he would never dare to joke with me ever again but I held back because Amara asked me to.I obeyed her words. My wolf listened to her pleading voice and it calmed down.I don't know how it happened.I couldn't explain why my wolf listened to her that much.I just couldn't explain it.It felt like she had some sort o

~Amara~The drive to campus was quiet. I looked out of the window most of the time. After opening up to my Dad last night about the feeling that I have been harbouring in my heart for almost one and a half years since Nico moved into our campus,I decided to follow my father's advice. I will try my best to stay away from him and focus on myself.I have been making efforts to try and get close to him and make him notice me.I forgot to give myself credit,I thought that I'm the one who is not good enough for him or...that I'm not that beautiful like those girls that he always associate himself with.I will treat him as my step-brother but nothing more.I didn't want to tell Dad that the advice was for me because I was scared of what he would think of me.I know he would be surprised that I'm admiring my stepbrother in such a way that I shouldn't.Luke and I walked down the campus hallway. Students were busy gossiping, some were kissing and some were touching shamelessly. We parted ways with

~Amara~My mind jolted back to the present when Nichola's words sank into my head. I summoned all the energy in my veins and pushed him away and he stumbled on the chair and fell on the ground.Panic washed over me."Nico…"I walked to him and bend to his level to check on him and that's when I realised that the flower vessel that was on the table had dropped on the floor and broken into small pieces. The glass pieces had cut his palms and it was bleeding."You're bleeding," I said in a worried voice as I checked how deep the wounds were but he didn't say anything. He groaned when I helped him to stand up from the ground."Does your back hurt?"I inquired, "It's all your fault!"He said and I couldn't help but roll my eyes at his words."You wouldn't be hurt if you could stay away from me."He groaned at my words.I walked to the drawer and picked up the first aid kit. I carefully grabbed his hand and began to clean the wounds. His wounds were healing but I know cleaning and covering them f
