My eyes were glued to the window as Jude drove.

The music was so loud that it was starting to give me a migraine, and I was annoyed by the cigarette smoking filling the entire car because he refused to roll the window down.

It was pure hell, and there was nothing I could do about it because I sure as hell wasn't going to complain to him or ask him nicely to put his cigarette out and lower the volume. I hated being this close to him. I'd only known him for a few hours, and already, I despised him.

I had to admit that if I'd known that this was what I was signing up for by choosing to live with Mom, I would never have come. I would've stayed in Rebel Moon in the small place my father left for me, and I'd be much happier.
