I pressed my knee to Travis' belly causing him to grunt in pain. I grabbed both his arms and pinned them to the ground. He gasped and looked at Nalani who was running away from us. I also looked her while hissing. I saw the fear on her face especially when Travis yelled, "I said run! He's going to kill you! Don't look back—"

Snapping his words, I hit him in the face with my claws causing him to scream in pain. My four nails drew on his cheek and crossed his noseline. I whispered in a hiss, "What the hell are you doing?"

But he grunted, sneering at me and yelled in my face feigning protective of Nalani, "You can't have her! You have to kill me first before you have her!"

I don't know what game he wants to play, but after he told Nalani that, she turned and ran away. I know that by this time, it was already imprinted in her mind that I was a terrible man, monster like Travis said. This was his way of making sure that Nalani would stay away from me.
