ELIJAH's POV

By dinner, she'd already gone through her second pint of blood since waking up. I wasn't vast in the things of medicine, but it was safe to say that her pallor was back to normal.

"you're watching me so closely, I'm almost scared for myself," Kylie told me after dinner. I didn't take a detour to have a conversation with Jason. It could wait.

“Why?”

“Why what?”

“Why are you scared for yourself?”

“ I said, almost. But that’s only because of how closely you’re watching me. It just feels like you think I could drop at any moment. If you perceive things to be that way, I might start perceiving them too. And we all know that’s bad for my recovery.”

I chuckled.

"You can’t blame me, my. you're an invalid, and I’m worried.” I told her, as I watched her change into her pj's.

"I am fine, Elijah. Don't worry so much. I may not feel so strong, but that is only normal. Considering whatever Raul gave me. " she placed a hand on my cheek, before she began to lay down.
