KYLIE's POV

"Mental lessons," I repeated, considering the possibilities. I can't deny that the dream I woke up from felt too real, and my mind space felt too attacked. But I didn't really like the possibility of my mind being under attack.

"Mitchell found a way around Damien's connection. Right now, she's the only one we know who can do such a thing. I know we can’t fully trust her. But we could try. Especially, with the fact, that she might be all we have."

"It feels like placing my life in her hands," I said quietly, not fancying that Idea as well.

"I'll always be present. If she tries anything funny, I'll always be present, and won't let her hurt you."

I reached out and placed my hand on his.

"You can't always be here with me, Elijah. You have a pack to protect, and you need to put them first. Otherwise, they are going to say your priorities are misplaced. And for what? Me ?"

"you're right. Okay? I do have a pack to protect. I do have to be a good Alpha
