Chapter 155 ~ Mitchell’s plea

KYLIE's POV

Since my seizure, I had been trying to take things easy. But I could only ignore the sudden surge of power I had felt since our visit to the oracle.

I chose not to acknowledge it, because from the very first moment, it felt entirely foreign. But not anymore.

The oracle had said I had a whole lot of power within me. It was high time I honed it.

So a couple of days later, I woke up before Elijah did, and went out into the garden to practice. In the garden, I felt closer to nature, closer to the earth.

There was a patch of flowers that lay dying. I crouched in front of the flower bed, and stretching my hand over it, I whispered a spell. The flowers that had fallen suddenly stood rigid, and the vibrant colors became apparent.

I considered practicing elemental spells as I rose. I wanted to try to call forth rain, or even shoot lightning from my fingertips like I had seen Damien do through Elijah in the vision.
