Chapter 169 ~ Reaching towards land and sea

"I didn't think it meant much of anything. I mean, I thought it was like every other vision." Elijah started as his eyes took on a faraway look, "I kept asking myself at what I needed to know and at what the vision would end, but when the monks showed up with witches, I still put up a fight. The whole thing felt too real to not back."

"yeah. I think I felt some of that too." I explained, my eyes fixed on him as I waited for the rest of his story.

"Then suddenly the witches started with their damned chants." he said and touched his temple, "each moment that passed by had me feeling like they were corrupting my mind. Infiltrating it and trying to weaken me from my mind's core. It felt that way until I felt to the ground and passed out. And then I woke up in chains." he said and looked at me, "that's all I remember." he added.

"I think it was just as you've said , Elijah. They did try to weaken you from your mind's core. A part of their magic must have stayed with you even af
