Chapter 168 ~ Post-mirror effects

KYLIE's pov

"I don’t know what just happened, Kylie. One minute I was leaning against the car, waiting for you and Jason to come back, and then… then I thought I was looking at the bloke from the cathedral." Elijah rushed on to explain.

"It's okay, Elijah. It's a misunderstanding." I said calmly, when we stopped at the car, I exchanged a look with Jason, before helping Elijah into the car.

The ride back home was full of silence as I tried to make sense of what had happened to Elijah. Why was he seeing the monk in someone else?

I mean, it was one thing for him to see the wrong thing from afar. But after getting a good look at him, he still saw the monk, so much so that he wanted to hurt him.

That had warning bells ringing in Kylie's head. They needed to head home fast, so she could get Maren's help on the matter.
