Chapter 21 The First Day

"Very beautiful," said Rain, giving a thumbs up. "You suit that uniform, Mom."

Sky pointed at Josephine's hair with a frown. "Mom, can't you just keep your hair down? That bun makes you look different."

Josephine laughed and ruffled Sky's hair. "It's a rule from the Sparrow clinic, honey. Nurses have to put their hair in a bun so it doesn't interfere with their work, especially in an emergency."

Flower clapped and held the hem of Josephine's uniform skirt. "I also want to be a nurse like Mommy when I grow up."

"Of course, honey, you can definitely be a nurse, even a doctor," said Josephine.

"You said you wanted to be a scientist and research about otters yesterday, Flow," Rain said with a raised eyebrow.

"No," Flower replied, shaking her head. "Otters live in water and I don't like getting wet."

"You like to change quickly, Flow. You said before that you wanted to be a plumber like Mario Bross," Sky teased.

"That was before I saw the worms coming out of the water pipes in the garden.
