“Dexter, please ask Stine and Doctor Lelia to come to Gina’s room. She might be having a nervous breakdown,” I told my Beta, exhaling sharply into our mind-link.

“I don’t want to talk, Grant! I want you!” she yelled without stopping wrecking her bed and destroying her pillows. “Don’t you see that the child will suffer if you leave? Do you want to be a piece of shit just like your father? You are even worse than him!”

My fists balled in utter aggravation. I was completely helpless, afraid to come close and upset her further. Fuck, I didn’t know how to deal with this new Gina. bringing my father to the conversation was cruel, and she damn knew that.

“Gina, you know I would never—” My words were interrupted by her piercing scream as she threw the ruined pillow on me and took a step closer.

“Don’t leave me. If you leave me for a single moment, I don’t know what I will do, Grant, but I am pretty sure you will hate it! I will make sure of that,” she threatened.
