Chapter 3

I feel terrible. I do not know how I should answer. 

"Alina, you are still a student, right? If you are pregnant now, it will affect your studies," Geoff's wife says. 

Geoff nods to agree. "Yes, Alina is still young. I am afraid she will not want to give up her studies and stay at home to bear a baby." 

Carl glances at her elder son and daughter-in-law. She turns to me and says, "Alina, do you want to have a baby?" 

Carl is direct. "You should know that if you have a baby, he can inherit Freddy's fortune and his fortune can make you and your child lead a wealthy life." 

Hearing these, I do not hesitate anymore. This is what I want. I answer loudly, "I do."

If I can do anything to stop Aaron from stealing away Freddy's fortune, I want to have a try. Moreover, even if I do not want to, the Barnett family can still force me to give birth to a baby. So why do not I show my willingness and make Carl happy? 

Carl puts on a satisfied smile. "I know you are different from those stupid women. They thought that Freddy was about to die, so they could not get any benefits from Freddy. I always know you are different." 

I walk out of Carl's house and prepare to go back to Freddy's house when Aaron stops me. Looking at his face, I feel terrible. 

"Amy, please take my present back." Amy nods and leaves first . 

When Aaron notices that there is no one around us, he says, "Alina, you broke my heart. We had a relationship for so long, but you did not even let me touch you, but now you are willing to bear a baby for my brother." 

I do not even glance at him. "If I bear his baby, I can get his fortune. Why should I refuse?" 

I said it deliberately. As I expected , he looks embarrassed. 

"Alina, there is a good solution. You can bear my baby and then say that it is my brother's baby. After all, they are both children of the Barnett family. Even if my mother gets angry, she will not make you kill the baby." 

I stop smiling. "Aaron, it is good to be ambitious, but if you only have ambition rather than a brain, it is dangerous. Let me remind you. I heard that around Freddy, there are many smart people. As long as Freddy can breathe, his subordinates are looking forward to him waking up. If they knew that I dared to bear your baby, could they let you go?" 

I smile coldly and I can feel the fear spreading out from Aaron. He smiles embarrassedly. "I was just kidding. No matter whose baby you bear, they are children of the Barnett family. I will treat them well after my brother dies."

I roll my eyeballs. 

"Alina, let's stop discussing this. We can wait until my brother dies." 

I pout and ask back. "If he does not die, can you wait for me and be single forever?"

Aaron becomes dumbfounded. 

I laugh ironically and say, "I will go back. Your mother has sent a doctor to your brother's house. They are waiting for me."

After I go back to Freddy's house, I am taken to a private room by two doctors. They comfort me, "Mrs. Barnett, you do not need to be nervous. Although it will be a little painful, if you bear Mr. Barnnet's baby, you will have a stable status in the Barnett family." 

I nod. "I know. This is the only reason I will give birth to the baby." 

I lie on the bed and ask, "How long will it take?" 

The doctor says, "It is difficult to say. It is pretty hard for a human to bear a werewolf's baby." 

"What? What are you talking about?" I am shocked 

The doctor answers patiently, "The Barnett family is a werewolf family and Mr. Barnett is the Alpha of the pack." 

Alpha of the pack? I recall my memory and finally remember what Aaron has said to Liz before the wedding.

I sit up and blink my eyes anxiously. "What do you mean by werewolf?" 

The doctor looks surprised. "do not you know that?" 

I sigh. "What should I know? I am an ordinary girl and I marry a vegetable man because my family has almost gone bankrupt. This is all I know..." 

"Oh poor girl." The doctor smiles with some pity. "This is the world of werewolves. You can know more about werewolves if you want, but now you should lie down and get a shot." 

"OK. But you said he was the Alpha of the pack. Is it a high position?" 

The doctor pushes something into my body and continues, "Yes, honey. It is the most powerful and highest position in a werewolf's pack. And you are supposed to be Luna of the pack if you can successfully give birth to a baby." 

"Luna?" I repeat with doubt. 

"Yes. You are young and everything can be possible." The doctor smiles friendly. 

I hope she is telling the truth rather than comforting me.

Time flies. After some rain in autumn, it becomes cold. 

At night, I walk out of the bathroom after a shower comfortably. I walk towards the bed and apply some cream to my face. I am having a good time here. Sometimes I even hope that life can go this way forever. 

I turn around and look at my husband and smile. "You are so beautiful. I heard that you are a werewolf. I thought I might not accept it easily but actually… I think if I can have sex with you like a normal couple, I will not refuse it even if you cannot be called a human." 

I smile embarrassedly. "How can I say these shameless words? Even if he can not hear me, I can not be such a bitch." I cover my face and I can feel the heat on my cheeks. 

When I put my hands down, to my surprise, I see his eyes open. His eyes are like diamonds shining in the dark. I am surprised by the light in his eyes. He is so handsome. 

I purse my lips and feel sorry for him again. "Freddy, I have checked on the Internet. It is said that you have no girlfriend. Someone said that you love boys and someone said that you are in poor health. But in my opinion, you are really strong. Look, how strong you are!" 

I giggle and touch his arms and legs boldly. Noticing that he cannot react to my words or actions, I become even bolder. “ Why do not you show me your penis? I can not believe such a handsome man as you do not have a powerful penis! Besides, I have not seen a werewolf’s body before. Why do not you let me have a look?” Saying these, I take off his pants all of a sudden, but when I see his underwear, I stop.

“ What am I doing? How can I do this to a vegetable? Even if he is my nominal husband, I can not humiliate him like this…” I say to myself and put his pants on regretfully.

“ Since I can not humiliate you, I can not clear your name. After all, I did not see your… Although I have seen your… Under your underwear, but I did not see it clearly, so I can not clear your name publicly…” I explain to Freddy with a regretful face as if he really needs my help to clear his name. I blush and soon giggle at my shameless behavior and words when I hear a sentence.
