View More"Wowwww! Where can I see Vampires?" Nabi exclaimed, looking at the TV screen, where a girl was in the arms of a handsome honey-eyed boy, followed by 'THE END' note.
Nabi was always fond of Vampire series and novels. She has completed watching and reading every book and series released related to Vampires. The crazy for Vampire wasn't just for a year or two; she has been a fan, almost a devotee to Vampire stuff.
As she was deeply involved in recalling the movie and smiling to herself, "Nabi!Nabi!" a voice roared, followed by a knock on the door.
"Get In!" Nabi yelled.
A girl in a light pink dress entered the room gracefully dancing.
Nabi, who was absorbed in the movie thoughts, didn't even bother to glance at her.
"Why aren't you not ready yet?" the girl sadly whispered in the feeblest voice.
Though her voice was not audible to most of the humans, to Nabi, it was clear enough to drag her back to reality and to remember her promise to Hana to set a boyfriend for her.
Putting the half-filled popcorn bowl on the stool, she stood up, dropping a few popcorn pieces from her dress, which she probably spilt while excitedly watching her vampire movie.
"Why should I dress up? Shouldn't all the eyes be on my beautiful friend?" Nabi said as she adjusted a hair strand falling on Hana's face.
Hana's face lit up hearing those words, and that smile formed a cute dimple on her cheek. Though Hana was more on the chubby side, her fair skin always gathered enough attention from guys. The dress she wore was perfectly doing its job to make her look thin.
Adjusting her hair in the mirror, Nabi inquired Hana about the qualities she was looking for in her boyfriend. Even though Hana was her friend for three years, boys were never their cup of tea. Hana was always involved in her studies or reading various books. In the same way, Nabi too spends most of the time either watching Vampire movies or reading Vampire books.
Holding the popcorn bowl in one hand and gobbling popcorn with the other, Hana muttered, "No idea."
Nabi, who was applying lipstick, was awestruck by the answer but was also irritated, "Then how should I help you?" she screamed.
Startled by her friend anger, Hana smiled cutely and exclaimed, "It's fine if he is a good guy."
Nabi immediately threw the lipstick on the desk and turned towards Hana. Looking at Hana, who was innocently eating popcorn, the rage that she had a second ago disappeared. Hana was never interested in watching movies or boyfriend talks and even rarely spoke with the opposite sex. Since she was very reserved and passive outside the hostel, no one approached her even though she was cute and charming.
Understanding that she should deal with her with patience, Nabi sat beside Hana placing her hand on Hana's shoulder, "Do you think that I would give your hand to a bad person?" she asked calmly with a warm smile. Hana chuckled, watching Nabi speak in a motherly tone.
Though Nabi was annoyed, she was confused about what and how to speak with her. While she was thinking, Hana interrupted and asked her what traits she was looking for in her partner.
Hearing the word 'PARTNER', she remembered the words which a shaman told her. It was during a semester break when her mother had forced her to visit a shaman. The main reason for that visit was because Nabi has been dreaming a happy but weird scene from a young age. She used to wake up smiling from sleep and told her mother that a handsome man was moving fast, carrying a girl in his arms. Her eyes used to spark brightly, and the lips stretched to the ears every time she explained the dream and the guy.
There were also days that she would be upset the whole day for not seeing that boy in the dream. Even after a decade and a half, Nabi still wakes up with the same guy in mind, but fewer times compared to her childhood.
When she and her mom visited the shaman, just by a glance at Nabi, she commented, "You will meet your partner and will have a happy life... BUT....be careful child" and left the room. Though they were frightened by the 'careful' word, the 'happy life' word brought some happiness on their faces.
As Nabi emerged in thought, Hana giggled and mentioned that even she didn't know about boys. Teasing her, she questioned, "Did you ever talk to a boy except for Ian?"
Suddenly an idea came to Nabi's mind. She took her phone from the table and dialled Ian.
Nabi: "Meet me at the cafeteria in 10 minutes."
Ian: "Ok." (He cut the call as though he was accepting an order from his boss)
Ian is Nabi's childhood friend. He and Nabi studied in the same school and currently pursuing in the same University too. Ian always cared and displayed affection towards Nabi, but Nabi was only concerned or talked about Vampires most of the time.
Nabi stood up and put her mobile in her back pocket. "You must firstly socialize to get a boyfriend. I will ask Ian to help you meet some guys," she claimed as she patted her shoulder herself for the achievement.
Hana's lip corners stretched downwards hearing that. Cursing her mouth for blabbering, she sat facepalmed. Indeed she was terrified that she must meet new people. But she didn't let her worry show on her face, as she knew that Nabi was helping her and that she should let go of her fear to face society. "Ok!", she answered keeping her head down and trembling, gazing at the floor.
Nabi, who has been her friend for the past three years, understood her friend was worried but self-assured that Ian would take care of her. "Fine, hurry up, we have to meet Ian," she exclaimed hastily, not to let Hana understand that she acknowledged her nervousness.
After teasing each other for a while, both of them slept in each other's arms. The girl, who appeared like a xerox copy of Nabi with short hair, was lying without any moment. A pool of blood was under her head and wrist. She seemed pale as Beau drank up all the blood from her. Closing eyes and breathing deeply with satisfaction, Beau stood up. Opening his eyes, which turned red, he glanced at the girl lying unconsciously beside him. The wind rustled from the trees surrounding them, making her hair move slightly, displaying a butterfly tattoo on her nape. "Beautiful tattoo!!" he uttered. Suddenly his eyes widened looking into the forest, and he jumped over her, rushing into the woods. "What?" Beau uttered, waking from sleep. "Is this future or past? How could I hop and leave a dead girl in that condition?" Beau feebly groaned. Recalling the car model, which he had seen before, he confirmed that it was past. As far as he remembered, he first drank blood when Monica gave him a red
"What are you thinking when we are banging our heads to know how they knew about you?" Albert questioned, glaring at her. "What if they knew? Didn't Nabi tell us that they might have seen our information? Moreover, we can hear human's thoughts. Keeping an ear on the people around Ian is more than enough." Whatever Olivia mentioned was true, but cutting that discussion in the root was necessary. Reacting to such comments will only make the situation hotter. Not bothering them will make every student around keep a constant eye on them. However, compulsion could be done, if caught. Albert, Beau and Nabi's minds were filled with various thoughts. All of them were concerned that the vampire secret would be revealed if not taken care of properly. "What if Olivia or Ian comment that they were waiting for us to come from shopping?" Nabi suggested. "Ian doesn't even know that we are related. First of all, Why will he? The whole campus knows that he lov
"Just tell me, whose photos and why?" Beau intervened and interrogated, standing in front of her. "Me, Hana and Nabi along with Ian," Olivia uttered, biting her lower lip saying Ian's name. Hearing Ian's name, Beau's eyes narrowed, and his nose flared. "What? When did you all take a picture with him?" Beau yelled, grabbing the mobile from her. The phone displayed an article with the title, "University handsome chunk turned into a playboy." Below the bold heading, there were three pictures- 1) An old photo of Nabi and Ian. 2) Hana and Ian's picture, where they were facing each other near Computer Science block( Her dress remembered him the day of the incident when Hana refused that it was her in the picture.) Now, her face is visible as the photographer captured it from a different angle. 3) Olivia and Ian, laughing at the canteen table. Nabi, who seemed to have awakened due to the chaos sighed, weakly. "Why am I facing issues,
Even though his body was urging him to intake blood, his heart was pleading and throbbing him to save her. Untieing the knot Albert created on the napkin, he wrapped it around Nabi's wrist. He suddenly felt that he was in some trance as everything around him seemed clouded. He could see Albert rushing towards them as the scent vanished in thin air. "Nabi! Nabi!" Albert was calling, patting her cheek. Since there was no response from her, he raced, taking her into arms. But, before he left, he ordered Olivia to fetch Beau a packet of blood. Olivia, who was outraged few minutes, seemed to have steadied and disappeared instantly on Albert's command, leaving Beau alone. Everything that was going on was still blurry to him, and in addition, the voices appeared distorted too. Sitting beside a pool of blood, he tried to recall the things that happened in the past few minutes. Tears rolled down as he viewed Nabi's blood on the floor. He wanted to see her, but
In a split second, Nabi hand was few inches above Beau's face. The slit she made was dripping blood onto his lips. Albert slammed to a corner in a terrace in a flash. His eyes were pitch dark red, and his canines protruded. Although Albert is old, fresh blood from a human could make any Vampire freak out and lose one's mind. Even though it was tough for him to calm and compose himself, he was using all his strength to stabilize as it is his responsibility as an old one. "NABI!!" he shouted, holding his breath as tight as possible. She lifted her head and glanced the whole place to find Albert struck in a corner. It was the first time for Nabi to watch Albert in a vampire form. Her eyes bulged out, watching him but suddenly saddened looking at Beau. The main person for whom she cut herself wasn't even licking the blood on his lips. His heart and body seemed to be fighting intensely, which was making him insane. Body: "Fresh, Yummy Blood!"
[The next day, 12 pm] As Beau left for hunting, Albert came to Nabi, who was eating along with Hana. Albert: I need to discuss something urgent. (Uttering those words, he looked at Hana) "Should I disappear?" Hana asked satirically. Albert nodded, pursing his lips and grinning. The moment Hana left, "What happened?" Nabi asked anxiously. "Beau should start drinking human blood." "What??... He is drinking blood, isn't that enough?" "Yes...., but gradually he will lose vampire abilities if he doesn't consume human blood." A sense of confusion and ambiguity filled her face. However, she understood the main point and inquired, "What should I do?" "Olivia said that he isn't consuming human blood because of you." "What? Olivia? Why is she involved again? How can she say that? Does she think that I am forcing him to drink animal blood?" Nabi flared with anger. "No! No! Not like that." Albert imm
