Ashley’s POV

We went back to the conference, and Duke held my hands like I was going to disappear. Mr. Vandercage was still there.

“I see you’re back.”

“And I see you’re still here.”

“You know I don’t play with business.”

“What do you want with Ashley?”

The tone Duke uses when speaking to his father wouldn't even tell you they are blood. It’s harsh and rude. I dare not correct Duke; I fear he will transfer his aggression to me, and I don’t want to disrespect him.

“Ashley, I came to speak to

  • My billionaire husband   My company, my sweat

Ashley’s POVDuke left the hotel in a bad mood. He wasn’t angry, he was just disappointed that I still don’t trust him. I really don’t blame him, but it’s not my fault either. I hope I can make it up to him. Marriage? He really wants to marry me. Is it for the job or because he loves me? That’s a question I have to get an answer to. I do want to marry him, but this constant arguing and mistrust can’t continue when we get married. “Hey, darling.”I had to call Duke to be sure he went home safely. “Hey, baby love.”No matter how angry he gets, he never calls me by my name. I love it. It actually turns me on when he calls me baby love. “You’re home yet?”“Yeah, just got home.”“That’s good.”There’s silence on the line. I want to ask him about the marriage and contract but I have offended him and don’t know where to start. “Baby love, I’m really sorry for what I did at the hospital. Checking your baby’s gender without your consent, and giving you Selina’s blood. I’m really sorry.”

  • My billionaire husband   Trust

Duke’s POVI followed Ashley’s car, at an unnoticeable distance. Dominic had called me to inform me that they were being followed, I told him I was the one and it was alright. I couldn’t just let her go home. I wouldn’t be at peace and I would have a sleepless night and nightmares. She’s my safe space. I stay outside of the hostel and watch her lights go on in her room. She might be bathing now. Ohh how I miss watching her bath, bathing her myself, fucking in the shower, her moans and screams. I miss those a lot. I’m so turned on right now, I could bust into her room and fuck her. I know she wants me too but I have to respect her needs. She needs space, I’ll give it to her. My phone rings and it’s Ashley, I didn’t wait for the second ring. “Hey.”“Hey, are you okay?”“Were you expecting a call from someone else?”Ohh I see what she’s doing there. “I was expecting your call.”I know she wouldn’t call me, but I expect her to call at any time of the day, even at night. I always wa

  • My billionaire husband   One kiss

Ashley’s POVI hate waking up with a sharp headache. “Hey baby love, hold on. It’s okay, I’m here.”What happened? I try to remember but the headache keeps sending painful signals to the whole of my body. “Take it easy. You’re at the hospital, thank God nothing happened to you or the baby. Are you feeling okay?”Oh yes, I rushed out of Duke’s office because he was having a shady conversation with a female. I got hit by a car. My baby. “She’s fine.”She?“How do you know it’s a she?”“The doctor confirmed it.”“You went behind my back to know the gender of my baby?! You had no right Duke.”“I’m sorry baby love.”He tries to calm me down by touching my arm but I snatch my arm from his reach. “Don’t touch me.”I could feel his rage coming up. I don’t care. First, he’s having a secret affair with someone, and is trying to win me over again, who does that?“Look, I don’t know what you heard, or why you’re angry but it’s not what you think. Jennifer is just someone I’m having a business

  • My billionaire husband   What have I done

Ashley’s POVWith a fake smile on my face, I spent the rest of the day at Duke’s office. Of course, I miss him so much, but I don’t trust him that much. It’s not really my fault, I can’t get Amal’s words out of my head. It’s echoing every time and with someone, especially Duke and Joana. Duke was behaving weirdly at the office. His phone was on silent, and every time it rang, he would end the call. “Don, you have a call.”“I’m busy in Santiago.”“It’s urgent sir.”Santiago is dismissed after gaining a killing gaze from the Duke. I’m sure I wouldn’t be the only one giving him attitude when he’s behaving like this, some can do worse. It’s just fucking annoying. I wanted to leave, so I called Dominic to come pick me up after rejecting Duke’s offer. I don’t want to spend twenty minutes with him in awkward silence, I know he suspects that something is wrong but I don’t want to be pushed to say it. The truth will find its way out. “Dominic, can I ask you a weird question?”“Of course m

  • My billionaire husband   Something is off

Duke’s POV I was really worried about Ashley. She is pregnant and not supposed to handle this kind of stress. My father just came out of the blue and tried to claim what doesn’t belong to him. He does that a lot. He tried that with me, but I’m wise enough to be three steps ahead of him. I don’t know how he’s caught up with Ashley’s company but I will figure it out. “Don, your wife is here to see you.”“Please let her in.”I didn’t know she was coming. Ashley entered the office, and I wasted no time in going to hug her. I love having her in my arms at all times. “Hey, I didn’t know you were coming. Are you okay? Have you eaten?”I know work is stressing her out. She’s trying to rebuild the company her family has ruined and she’s getting opposition from every corner. I hope I can help her, so she will be less stressed out, because of the baby. “I’m fine. I just wanted to see you, I miss you.”“I miss you too baby love. Here, come sit with me.”I drag her over to my seat and make h

  • My billionaire husband   Everyone will betray you, one way or another

Ashley’s POVSeeing Amal in this disgusting state is torturous. What made her like this? I for sure know that it wasn’t. “Hello, Amal.”“Ohh, it’s like that? You can’t even call me mom anymore.”“You lost that privilege already.”“I deserve that. Would you like to come in?”“No, I like my mental health to be intact.”“Fair enough.”I try to concentrate on being nonchalant and rude, but she keeps scratching her body and her nose, it’s distracting and worrisome.“Do you know about the relationship between Mr. Vandercage and your husband?”Of course, I wouldn't call him my father, not after all the mess he’s put me in. “Ohhh, that man. You know he’s a dumb piece of shit. He was collecting fifty billion dollars every fucking year from your father.”“How didn’t I know about this?”“You were just a little girl, we didn’t want to bother you with that. There’s a lot of this you don’t know about.”“You’ve gotta be kidding me.”“I kid you not child, Mr. Vandercage and your father…”“Your husb
