*Nina*

“Wow... this feels like a dream.” I am lounging on a luxurious sun bed, the gentle breeze tousling my hair as I gaze out over the stunning blue expanse of the ocean in Mexico. Beside me, Elijah is casually adorned in nothing but his bathing shorts, his sun-kissed skin glinting in the warm rays. This is definitely a dream… a very good one.

Elijah turns to me, his gaze steady and sincere. “You know, you never told me about your long twenty-four hours.”

“It is not really… you would be bored,” I mumble, shaking my head.

“I doubt I would find it boring,” he says, and when I give him a look, he gives a small shrug. “I guess I just find you really fascinating.”

I can’t help but make a face, my smile faltering for a moment. “Believe me, it’s not fascinating. Yesterday, I discovered that my boyfriend of two years has been cheating on me… with a damn groupie.”

He raises an eyebrow, his voice softening. “I would call that a colossal error in judgment, on his part, of course.”

I glance at him, unable to suppress the smile creeping back onto my lips. “Me too. But let’s change the subject. When you won the Golden Globe, was it hard not to cry?”

We get up and stroll over to the small but well stocked bar, the sun casting a warm glow on everything it touches. Elijah nods slowly, a hint of humor in his eyes. “Yeah.”

“Was it because you worked so hard for such a long time and you’ve been through so much?” I ask, genuinely curious.

He shakes his head with a chuckle. “No, it’s because I had to go to the bathroom. Badly. They serve you way too many drinks at the Golden Globe; I hardly knew what I said.”

I burst out laughing. “Never mind. I cried when I won an Alphie.”

Elijah looks at me, intrigued. “The Alphie? I am not sure I have heard of it.”

I nod, my cheeks warming with the memory. “Best performance in my high school talent show.”

“I’m sorry... what?” He sounds utterly amused, and I can’t help but give him a mock stern look.

“Hey, I worked really hard for that!” I protest.

“So, what was your act?” He hands me a colorful cocktail he has just casually mixed, the ice clinking as I take a sip.

“I shouldn’t have said anything,” I respond, shaking my head in denial.

But he leans closer, his eyes sparkling with mischief. “Come on... what was it?”

Taking a deep breath, I finally confess, “It was a... hip-hop tribute to Shakespeare.” I feel my cheeks heat up as the words spill out.

“Whaaat?” He lifts his sunglasses, eyes wide with disbelief. “You’ve got to be kidding me.”

I shrug, trying to downplay my embarrassment. “I was a huge theater geek in high school.”

“Do it! Come on, a hip-hop tribute to Shakespeare? You have no choice!” His excitement is infectious, and I shake my head in protest, laughter bubbling up despite my reluctance.

“No way! I am not doing it, Elijah.” My protest is half-hearted, and I can’t help but laugh and blush at the same time.

He gives me the puppy dog eyes, his playful expression making it hard to resist. “Come on... I’ll do the beat. I got you.”

He starts creating a rhythm, tapping his hands against his thighs, his enthusiasm making me laugh even harder. “No... no... stop! Please stop!” I hold up my hand, trying to regain control of the situation. “I can’t believe you’re making me do this.”

With a playful sigh, I rise and pace, trying to find a way out. “Okay... do you know the first line to Hamlet's speech to the players?”

He nods eagerly. “Of course! ‘Speak the speech, I pray you.’”

“Lay back and let my lyrical material slay you.” As I start rapping, my heart races with a mix of anxiety and thrill. I can feel his eyes on me, and I relish the attention, giving it my all. “I am kicking it live, yo... I am Anglo-Saxon.”

When I finish, I take a theatrical bow, expecting a chuckle. Instead, Elijah bursts into laughter, his eyes sparkling with joy. “Girl, that is the single greatest thing I have ever witnessed in my life… definitely deserving of an esteemed Alphie.”

“Aww, well...” I shrug, unable to hide my grin. For some reason, I feel giddy and elated, as if the weight of the world has lifted, if only for a moment. The sun, the ocean, and Elijah’s laughter wrap around me like a warm embrace, and I realize this feels kinda perfect.

Suddenly, he Jumps off the bar stool, removing his sunglasses as he strides over to me, the air charged with anticipation. His hand finds my waist, pulling me into him with an intensity that sends a shiver down my spine. “I have to kiss you now.”

And he does… softly at first, but there’s an undercurrent of passion simmering just beneath the surface that makes my knees feel weak. I find myself kissing him back, my hands instinctively gripping his shoulders, anchoring myself as the world around us fades away.

His mouth moves down my neck, and I gasp softly, my brain momentarily shutting off. All I can feel is the warmth of the sun, the gentle caress of the breeze, and the intoxicating presence of him… his mouth and hands exploring me… holy shit!

His body presses against mine, and my hands roam over the sculpted muscles of his arms and chest. I revel in the feel of him… so firm, so alive. His scent envelops me, a mix of ocean air and something uniquely him, while the taste of his lips lingers, igniting a fire within. Not to mention the way his hands leave burning trails on my skin, igniting every nerve ending.

He brushes a strand of hair away from my face, his eyes locking onto mine with a seriousness that contrasts the playful atmosphere. “You... really are amazing.”

Honestly, it’s hard to deny this man anything… not just because he’s rich and famous or incredibly handsome, but simply because he’s so charming, so sweet, and utterly disarming.

I’m not one to sleep with men on a first date… if this even qualifies as a date… but I also don’t typically have super-hot movie stars whisking me away to Mexico to romance me. I can’t remember the last time I felt this… turned on by anyone. So, why should I say no? I’m single, I like him and I deserve to have some fun.

His hands fumble slightly, and suddenly, my bikini top is gone. I can’t help but feel grateful for the secluded villa and the fact that we’re completely alone here. We can do anything we want, and no one will ever find out.

“Are you sure you... want this?” he mumbles against the sensitive skin along my collarbone, one of those large hands slowly massaging my right breast. I can’t help but caress his biceps, my heart racing.

Okay, points for asking, but which woman in the world would say no to this? Who would even have the capacity to say no?

“Yeah… very sure.” And I mean it. I probably shouldn’t, there’s that little voice in my head cautioning me, but I can’t help myself. I want him. Badly. I know I won’t regret it.

He gently lays me down on the plush couch, kneeling between my thighs. He flashes me a cheeky grin that sets my heart racing, and then my bikini bottom slips down my legs. His warm mouth finds me everywhere, igniting sinful prayers of passion that escape my lips as I grab onto anything within reach.

Still slightly trembling from the aftershocks of our fervor, I pull down his swimming shorts, revealing him in all his glory. My heart races as I straddle his lap, sliding down onto him, feeling the heat of his body enveloping me, his arms wrapping around me, drawing me closer.

We lose ourselves in each other, the world outside vanishing as I feed off the passion radiating from him. I discover that his talents extend far beyond acting, and hours later, when I finally drift off to sleep in the vastness of the bed, wrapped in his arms, I feel utterly spent yet completely satisfied.

There’s no doubt it’s been a night to remember, no matter what happens from here on out. But I can’t shake the thought that I hope it wasn’t just this. I like him… no, I really like him… and I would love to get to know him better.

*Silas*“Actually, I don’t think she’s even seen the photo,” Cassandra says, her voice barely cutting through the cacophony of laughter and flashing lights sureounding her. “But if it bothered her, she’s past it now.”“It obviously bothered her. Him and Bianca.” I respond, my irritation simmering. “I told her to watch her facial expressions.”There’s a hint of annoyance in her tone. “We were blindsided, sweetheart. All of our jaws dropped when Bianca showed up.”“Yeah, but Nina needs to be able to keep it together for the camera,” I say, frustration bubbling. She should have known better than to let this happen.“It’s called bad luck, Silas,” she sighs. “And remember, we could be getting worse publicity.”I roll my eyes, even though she can’t see it. “I don’t give a damn about publicity, Cassandra. I care about having someone in Elijah’s life who doesn’t know how to follow instructions.”“It was just a moment, Silas. You’re overreacting,” my wife insists, her clearly patience wearing

*Nina*I find myself perched in a makeup chair next to Cassandra, the air buzzing with excitement as we prepare for the big dinner. She glances over at me, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. “You’re awfully quiet… everything okay?”I offer her a small, reassuring smile, though inside, I’m teetering on the edge of a full-blown freak-out. “I think I’m just a bit nervous about meeting Bianca,” I confess, the words tumbling out before I can stop them.Cassandra quirks an eyebrow, her expression teasing. “You don’t strike me as someone easily intimidated by others.”I shake my head, a hint of defiance in my tone. “I didn’t say I was intimidated.”“But you’re worried about how Elijah will react when he sees her?” Her gaze sharpens, as if she’s trying to decipher whether I’m about to cause a scene.“It’s just… complicated. I don’t really get what went down between them,” I admit, biting my lip. “I mean, I’ve read the tabloids like everyone else, but still…”Cassandra’s smile softens. “I’m su

*Cassandra*“No, I get it, Silas,” I mumble to myself as I stride down the dimly lit hotel corridor towards the suite. “No, gotta go... Kathy, you’re such an idiot.” I know it’s a bad habit to vocalize my thoughts as I text, but sometimes it helps to hear the words out loud. “I said no... okay.”I push open the door to the suite and am met with the sight of two lovebirds cozying up over breakfast in matching bathrobes. “Morning, you two,” I say, trying to inject some cheer into the room.“Good morning,” Nina replies with a dozy smile that tells me Elijah has clearly kept her up half the night.“Morning! So, how was drinks with the film commission?” Elijah asks, his grin too smug for my liking.I roll my eyes. “I realized Italian men are kinda grabby.” Glancing at the calendar on my phone, I pivot the conversation. “So let’s talk about today...” My gaze lands on Elijah. “You, my dear, have press obligations to attend to.” I shift my attention to Nina. “And what do you want to do?”She

*Nina*I step out of the elevator, a big hat perched atop my head and oversized sunglasses shielding my eyes. As I walk through the lobby alone, it feels as though no one notices me. It helps that the press and the paparazzi are all fixated on the glitzy events happening nearby; they expect us to be at some premiere or lavish party, not here.A man with a cap and a bushy beard rises from a chair and follows me out of the hotel. Outside, I veer down a narrow alley, my heart racing as I quickly navigate some worn steps leading to the tranquil canals. The man catches up with me, and I loop my arm through his. Had I not known better, I would hardly have recognized Elijah in his clever disguise. We turn down another alley, and Elijah stops, leaning against the wall as he pulls me closer. My hands instinctively reach up to touch his enormous beard. “Wow, this is actually real hair!”“I wore it for ‘The Soldier.’ They let me keep it, and it’s saved my ass a bunch of times,” he chuckles, peel

*Nina*“You will be registered as Michael and Elizabeth Connors,” the very serious security officer explains as we walk toward the sleek private jet that will whisk us away to Italy. “The staff you meet upon arrival will be the same individuals who care for you every day. Any changes, and we will inform you promptly.”“How are we set up for the dummy room?” Silas asks, his voice steady. I can’t help but wonder if he’s more than just Elijah’s friend and life coach; he seems intricately involved in every aspect of this operation. The security officer turns his head to look at Silas. “Grant Elijahson.”“What exactly is a dummy room?” I glance at Elijah, who walks beside me with an air of calmness, as if this entire situation is completely normal… though I suppose for him, it is.“It’s an empty room registered under a fictitious name. Someone checks the guest register and sees the name Grant Elijahson…” He offers me a small, reassuring smile.I smile back, piecing it together. “And they’l

*Cassandra*I step into the Institute, the familiar hum of computers filling the air, and spot my husband hunched over one of the keyboards, his brow furrowed in concentration. I give the doorframe a subtle nod. “Sorry to interrupt your flow.”He glances up, a hint of frustration flickering in his eyes. “I feel like I’ve never written a book before… which is probably exactly where I need to be… but…” His voice trails off, the weight of uncertainty hanging in the air.Wrapping my arms around him from behind, I lean into him the way a lovesick wife would, resting my cheek against his shoulder. “Probably… I see you’ve made plans to join us in Venice.”He lets out a sigh, turning in my embrace to meet my gaze. “That’s because I couldn’t bear the thought of being here without you.”“Hmm… I imagine it must be very hard for you,” I reply, looking up at his face, searching for reassurance.A grin spreads across his lips, but there’s a teasing glint in his eyes. “Hmm, it’s getting hard for you
