Getting home, I went upstairs to freshen up, after which I sat with my phone and started scrolling through my social media feeds. There were several posts still floating around about our wedding and everyone seems to think that I was enjoying a fairytale honeymoon.

It’s so funny how people wish to be other people online just because of pictures and videos. There were lots of ladies crushing on Asher and wishing they were in place. They envied the life I was living and that was just sad and funny because if only they knew what I was going through, if only they knew that I hadn’t enjoyed a second of my husband’s attention since we got married.

The annoying part is that he even goes out with her public, well at least, he was wise enough to get a private booth. That way, people wouldn’t know he was flaunting his mistress.

I let out a loud sigh as I scrolled down, but it only got worse. Everywhere was littered with all kinds of posts with several angles of our pictures, even ones that I hadn’t seen before.

It was already getting depressing at a point, so I just stopped and decided to out off my phone, but a text message came in just then.

“Don’t you ever try what you did in the afternoon with me! The next time it happens, you’re not going to like what I’ll do to you. Expect a hint of what I mean tonight. I hope you have the body to bear the heat though. If not, stay far away from me and mine!!!” It was from an anonymous person, but I didn’t need a soothsayer to tell me it was Camilla hiding behind the phone.

My insides boiled with anger as I read the text the second time. Each word increased my anger and at that point, I regretted sending a few slaps her way, just like Ava had said.

If I had done that, she wouldn’t have had the energy to type this disgusting thing. She would be somewhere attending to her swollen face by now. Maybe Asher would be there too, helping with the first aid.

I was still going over the different scenes of what I should have done to the bitch when I suddenly heard Asher pulling into the driveway.

I thought about pretending to sleep, and I already did, but the moment the door opened, and he entered, I sat up immediately, fear gripping every part of me.

“Who the heck do you think you are to talk to Camila like that?” He blurted really hot and for a second there, I totally lost my voice. I was just staring at his blazing hot face and my heart started beating fast. I finally understood what that bitch said about leaving me a hint of what’s to come if I ever cross her again. She cleared instigated Asher to me, and he’s taking her side without even knowing what went down.

“Ohh you’re suddenly deaf and dumb, right? Why didn’t you maintain the same energy when you were talking to my woman?” He blurted again and at that point, I didn’t know what got into me, but I found myself laughing.

“Ohh really? Your woman? The same woman who abandoned you right and only showed up when things got better for you?” I let out and he looked at me surprised. He wasn’t expecting such audacity from me and I truly didn’t expect it either. But the effect didn’t last long on him because he quickly shook it off and rushed towards me.

He looked so furious like he was going to hit me, so I moved back and guarded my face with my hands. He didn’t hit me, but he was close to. His fist was clenched, and I knew he would have.

“Don’t push me, woman. Don’t push me to be what I’m not because you won’t like that side of me! You’re only here because of our parents and your sacrifice, but I have already told you not to expect more from me! I’m not in love with you. Camila will always have my heart, and you have no right to call her my mistress. She means so much to me!” He slammed hard at me.

“Then you should have married her then, because no matter what you do now, she’s just going to be your mistress. She has no place in the eyes of the people. No one knows her, Asher. Camila will always be your mistress! I called her a mistress and I will call her that over and over again because it’s the truth!!” I slammed hard, and he only smiled and then moved back.

“You know that’s quite funny coming from you. You do realize that the woman you’re calling a mistress has more worth to me than you will ever be. I know you’re so happy to be the wife of the billionaire Asher Walter, but you shouldn’t be too happy, my dear wife. That’s all you’re ever going to worth, a title. You can do whatever you want with your wife title, but I’m saying it again. Do not ever go anywhere near my woman. It won’t end well for you.” He let out and then looked at me from my head to my toes.

“Cover up, wifey, nothing about you turns me on. Trying to seduce me with that is just a waste of time. My woman does it better.” When he said that, I quickly looked down and saw that my nightie had shifted, and my cleavage was now showing.

That wasn’t intentional and must have been exposed when I was trying to guard myself from his furious fist.

I immediately covered up and was going to defend myself, but he wouldn’t even waste another glance on me. He just walked away with a satisfied grin on his face.

That look means only one thing… Asher was clearly enjoying seeing me in pain. This is my punishment for pushing for the wedding against his will…
