Selene

I didn't know what was going on until I heard a gasp.

I turned around and saw a middle-aged man, perhaps older than my uncle, looking at Dayla and Daemon with shock. When my friend froze and turned pale, I knew it was bad, very bad.

“Dayla?” the man asked, and something in his tone of voice told me he was familiar to her. “What are you doing with him?”

The stranger flared his nostrils several times, clearly sniffing the mate bond Dayla and Daemon shared. The girls stopped what they were doing and looked at the man with frowns.

“Isn't that Grandpa from the photos, Mommy?” Dayma asked immediately.

“Grandpa?” the man asked, and I knew he was Dayla’s father.

Daemon got up carefully and looked at me anxiously.

“Can you take my daughters to the bedroom?” Daemon asked. “Please, I don't trust anyone else to do that.”

I immediately realized what he was really asking, so I nodded and urged the girls to follow me, and my uncle told them about some prizes they would get if they ran quickly

  • My mate's betrayal   Chapter 131

IzanRaimon promised silence but asked permission to see his daughter at Eclipse.I didn't hesitate to give it to him; he could join my pack as often as he wanted, but only him and under the appropriate security conditions. He accepted without hesitation, and Rafael advised us to strengthen an alliance to distract attention from Raimon's motivations in my pack.It was a more than valid idea, a key idea, so we established a new commercial agreement based on improvements to the Green Pack's healthcare system. That would explain why Raimon was attending, so Selene guaranteed to give him programs to improve and enhance everything. The fact that she cared was a relief, and a very good one that allowed me to breathe. However, when Raimon and Rafael finally left, Dayla exploded like a time bomb and had a heated confrontation with Daemon in her room, to such an extent that Selene decided to take the girls to the park to distract them, but she looked at me carefully.“Stay here, and if things

IzanI opted for calm and diplomacy and looked at Diego. He took his sisters outside and then came back in.The tension multiplied in a way that began to suffocate me, so I opted for diplomacy.“We can talk about it after this important meeting,” I said bluntly. “This is more important right now, and I don't want to downplay anything, but if we don't talk and come up with a plan of action, we're going to be in serious trouble.”Raimon looked at me angrily, but Rafael nodded and tried to calm him down.“I can't believe you know about Dayla and didn't tell me anything,” Raimon said angrily.“I can't talk because I made a promise that I will break after this meeting,” I snapped angrily. “Now calm down, take a deep breath, and listen to the situation. You, especially, will be most interested.”Raimon swallowed hard but said nothing.Ada looked at me with compassion and nodded. The fact that they both understood the point was good, but I felt bad not only because of the context but also be

IzanI looked at Marco with a frown.I sensed his fear for the group bond of the pack, and Gabrielle immediately approached us, sensing her mate's overwhelming emotion. I noticed that Axel was surprised to see her.“What's wrong, love?” She asked him with a sweetness she reserved for him in private.“We need to bring Ada here immediately,” Marco said, his face pale. “She's the closest living being who can help us read the maps.”I raised my eyebrows, Axel frowned, and Gabrielle looked at him, completely confused.“We'll go get her, but—”“We can't waste any time,” Marco said sternly. “And you have to summon Alpha Duncan, Alpha Rafael, and Alpha Raimon right now.”I didn't understand anything, but then I saw recognition in Axel's eyes and knew that he understood what Marco was trying to say.“Do you think the vampires are attacking the packs where the magical wells are supposed to exist?” Axel asked, and suddenly it all made sense.Marco nodded and looked at Axel very seriously.“That'

AxelThe meeting with the villagers was inevitable. After Clare's attack and the curse in Crescent, things not only became tense, but some people actually decided to cause trouble as the days went by, to the point that they came to make complaints. It was with the help of Amelie and Zanders that I was able to create a contingent to enforce the law without the council breaking the pact it had made.I didn't like it at all, but it was something that had to happen before Crescent became the capital of chaos and insurrection. Having to deal with that right after Solange's death was very upsetting because the pack shouldn't have any tension; it should pay tribute to a woman who contributed so much through philanthropy.I sighed with weariness and exhaustion. There was too much to do to waste time on things that didn't lead to anything good.Whether you like it or not, it's what you have to do, Mal said. And my beast was absolutely right; it was what I had to do, no matter what.I couldn't

IzanAmelie's words not only shook me, they brought back all my fears. My friend saw the look in my eyes and knew how her theory had affected me, but Selene didn't even look at me. She just opened her eyes wide in surprise and looked at Amelie hopefully. That made me sigh.“Is it possible?” my mate asked excitedly.“You have divine blood. In theory, the curse should bounce off you,” Amelie told Selene, despite my cautious expression. “We haven't even thought about this since we discovered your lineage.”“But Selene isn't an angel; she's just a descendant,” I said fearfully. “If the curse finds a way to—”“Her blood has healed you,” Amelie said sternly. "It's one thing not to want to see it out of fear, but the mirror doesn't lie. You're about to break the knot of the curse. Why wouldn't a complete bond sealed by mates, one of whom has divine blood, work out?”Amelie's question was valid, and I swallowed hard.“That's true,” Selene said. “It's a point we've overlooked.”I nodded and we
