My runaway wife, Hates me!

"Congratulations, Daisy. You're 1 month pregnant". Daisy's doctor announced it to her.

For the first time in 2 years, Daisy finally heard the magic words she always wanted to hear. She has been married to Lucius for 2 years, but there was nothing like romance between them. Until recently, one fateful evening when Lucius returned back home drunk.

Daisy didn't know what got into Lucius, but that evening was when he laid with her for the first time ever.

Daisy was still in disbelief of what her doctor said, so with doubtful eyes, she asked, "Are you really serious about this, doctor?".

The doctor didn't say anything and only nodded his head at her for confirmation.

Daisy smiled seeing her doctor's positive reaction. With haste, she left the check-up room.

Daisy was already outside the hospital when she breathed deeply and happily said to herself, "I didn't believe this day would finally come. I think Lucius too would be in disbelief about this. But I'm sure he'd be happy to hear the news and celebrate with me".

Daisy's car was parked in the hospital's parking lot. In order not to hurt her stomach, so she imagined, she was walking gently and carefully until she spotted her black honda. She arrived at her car, brought out the key for it from the backpack she hung on her back and opened the car's front door.

Daisy entered the car, sitting at the driver's seat before she drove off as she plans to pay a visit to Lucius's company.

It wasn't up to 20 minutes of driving and Daisy arrived at Lucius's company and was at the parking lot side.

Not to Daisy's surprise, almost billions of expensive cars were parked where she was at the parking lot. And this was an everyday normal thing because, many famous companies always try their shots to get a contract investment from Lucius's company.

Lucius's company is known as the number 1# successful company in the world. But unknown to Lucius, part of the success came from Daisy. Daisy is the eldest daughter of Mr Diego, a well known billionaire and an influencer. Although Daisy almost cut all ties with her family 2 years ago since they were against her marriage with Lucius.

For the past 2 years after Daisy got married to Lucius, she opened an anonymous account, and just like her father, she was a great and skilled influencer too. Her influencing skills of advertising and promoting Lucius's company to the whole world came in handy, and since Lucius was a knowledgeable CEO and a great Chairman in the field of work, that just worked out Daisy's advertisement perfectly.

Daisy could feel her heart pounding really fast as she came down from her car. Her forehead was even sweating.

"This is it, Daisy. If Lucius learns of this good news, he will finally love you with all his heart. And not to mention it, one day, he'll also learn that I'm not just an ordinary housewife".

She said to herself and was filled with confidence as she made her way into the company floors.

"Lucius, why aren't you saying anything? Don't tell me you've fallen in love with your wife". Annabelle Miller questioned with doubtful eyes seeing that Lucius wasn't saying anything yet.

She pouted her lips and said, "But you know I had my reasons for rejecting to marry you then. I travelled to Korea to pursue my dream of being a popstar, but then I realised, my best dream is to be married to you. I came back and you were already married. That really broke my heart, you didn't even wait for me to come back and you married".

Tears dropped from Annabelle's eyes to her cheeks.

Lucius panicked, he stood up from his office chair and walked towards where Annabelle was sitting in his other office chair.

He caressed her face and cleaned the tears on her cheek. "Don't worry, I'll handle everything. Just give me a week. You'll be my wife in a week". Lucius's husky voice came through and assured Annabelle.

Annabelle smiled at Lucius. Her hands were just about to hold Lucius's hand when finally, they heard a slight noise from the office entrance door.

They both stared to the direction of the door and saw Daisy staring at them with widened shocked eyes that were teary.

"I…. I'm sorry Boss. I tried to stop your wife from coming, but…. Please pardon me". Lucas, Lucius's trusted pa, announced as soon as he came inside the office.

Lucius sighed in defeat. With his right hand, he signalled at Lucas for him to leave the office.

"Sure Boss". Lucas lowered his head at Lucius in respect as he replied. That same seconds, he left the office, leaving Lucius, Annabelle and Daisy alone.

"Lucius. What did I hear you say? We've been married for a while now. How can you make this kind of decision without my consent?". Daisy questioned, almost looking desperate.

Daisy waited to hear what Lucius would say, but seeing that he didn't say anything, she questioned again, "Why would you want to make her your wife? Who is she? What does she have that I don't have?".

"My love". Lucius suddenly said.

"Lo-ve?". Daisy muttered, but her voice was audible enough to be heard by Lucius and Annabelle.

"She has my love, Daisy. Something you could never have". Lucius declared.

To Annabelle's ears, Lucius's words were like a bomb in her stomach that was giving her butterflies all over. Unlike Daisy, Lucius's words shattered her heart completely into pieces, she was at loss of words.

Daisy saw Lucius hold Annabelle's hand just before he said to her, "Annabelle is my ex. I only married you in the first place because you remind me of her. But now she's back, let's be reasonable and end this one sided love of our marriage".

Daisy still couldn't say anything even after listening to Lucius's words. Everything that's happening now was like a dream to her.

Lucius stopped holding Annabelle's hand. He walked towards the left side of his office where the shelf was. And on top of one of the shelfs, he brought out a large envelope.

Lucius handed the envelope to Daisy, all Daisy could do was collect it since she was curious to see what was inside of it.

From the envelope, Daisy brought out some documents, and on one of the document sheets, two words "DIVORCE AGREEMENT" were written on it.

"You…. You want to divorce me? But why?". Daisy questioned in disbelief. Her eyes were redder than before since she was having a breakdown.

"I didn't mean for this to happen sooner. But since you're here and you already know why I married you, let's end things for good". Lucius said, not feeling guilty or anything.

As Daisy further examined the document, it reached a point where the document states that she'd be offered a large sum of money.

"What do you take me for? A gold digger? I'm not going to sign this stupid paper". Daisy felt insulted and said. And the instant she said this, she felt Lucius's crimson eyes staring coldly at her, expecting her to use the pen he gave her to sign the divorce document.

This is the first time Daisy has seen this cold side of Lucius!.

"I…. I hate you, Lucius!". Daisy trembled, and with a shaky voice she said. She threw the divorce paper including the pen at Lucius's face and dashed out of his office. As soon as she came out, the tears that already gathered in her dark blue eyes finally fell on her cheeks.
