*Willa*

I walk into the room, wondering what will happen now. Kind of feeling butterflies tumbling around in my stomach at the thought of seeing him again. Both men stand up as I enter, like proper gentlemen.

"Welcome, I am Willa." I extend my hand towards Joel first, as he is closer. Then I tell him, as the truth is, "Such a pleasure meeting you, Mr. Jacobs. I am a big admirer of your work."

He grabs my hand, kissing it while sending me one of those famous smirks, his eyes twinkling. "Thank you, but the pleasure is all mine, Willa, and please call me Joel."

"Then welcome, Joel. I hope we will have some fun days doing this," I say, smiling at him. I already like him, and I think he is going to be easy and fun to work with.

I take a deep breath before turning towards Levi, not sure how I will really react to meeting him face to face and wondering if he remembers me at all and if he does, what he will say.

He is standing right behind me, much closer than I expected him to be, and I gasp a little in surprise as I turn and stare right into his chest. I have to look up to see his face.

He has changed quite a bit; gone is the almost angelic youth with the dark curls and instead stands a very handsome man, with wide shoulders and a powerful aura. But the eyes catching mine are exactly the same hazel depths of wonders, pulling me under, back to the last time I was in the same spot.

15 years ago:

"This is my brother Levi. Levi, this is Willa, you know, mom told you about her and her… mother," Emma says, and I just stand here blushing, looking at the young man in front of me.

I have just turned 17, and the truth is that my mom is dying from cancer. She is currently going through an alternative treatment program, which is very hard on her. As my father left before I was born and I don't really have anyone else, my mom's old school friend, Diana Thomsen, had graciously invited me to stay with her family for a while.

It is my second week here, and Emma had told me that her older brother would be home from Harvard this weekend. She had also said that he was the sweetest guy, almost too sweet for his own good.

He was also, from what she said, really really smart, and their father was disappointed he wants to be an actor instead of a lawyer or doctor. But according to Emma, he is actually really talented and has been in several plays and has had some small roles on TV.

I don’t know what I had expected, but it wasn’t this. Emma had lovingly called him adorkable and called him the labradoodle, so I didn't expect to be standing in front of this almost angelic vision, I mean if angels were hot.

"Oh... Hi... I am Willa," I stutter, looking into the most enchanting hazel eyes I have ever seen, it is like looking into some kind of infinite space, sucking me in, promising to reveal some deep hidden secrets.

He sends me a big happy smile. He has a beautiful smile, and he runs a big hand through the floppy dark curls. "Hi, Willa, I am so sorry to hear about your mother. I hope you like being here, though."

"T... Thank you, L... Levi," I manage to stutter out, feeling like a stupid kid. This handsome boy, well actually I should probably refer to him as a man, as he is 21 years old, is leaving me a blushing, stuttering mess just by being here. I am usually not that type of girl.

As Levi leaves to unpack, Emma rolls her eyes very dramatically, but then she giggles. "Oh God, Willa, way to majorly drool over my brother."

"I didn't, but I thought you said he was a total dork? I think I just expected something different, honestly." I look at her in confusion. I know he is her brother, but how can she not see how gorgeous he is?

She is shaking her head, laughing. "And he is. I mean, look at that hair, and the way he talks, and well, I love him, but he is a big dork… and a huge nerd."

"I think he is kind of handsome," I say, blushing wildly, hoping she won't tell him or hold it against me. "And he seems really nice too."

She raises one eyebrow and giggles again. "I think someone has the hots for my dear brother. Well, as far as I know, he is single, and he could use a nice girlfriend… so I am not gonna object."

"No, I don't. I was just surprised. I expected someone, well, much more nerdy looking from what you told me." I say, looking everywhere but her eyes but still blushing. This is so unlike me, and even more so is talking about it.

Back to the present day:

"Willa? Uhh, Willa, are you present?" I am pulled back from my memories about the first time I met Levi, only to find him looking at me with an amused expression on his handsome face.

I shake my head a bit, feeling somewhat confused and needing to get my bearing back. "Oh, sorry Levi, I think I spaced out just a little bit. Welcome to the show. We are very happy to have you here."

"Well, thank you, Willa. You look just like yourself, darling. Long time no see, what has it been? 15 years. How are you doing?" He sends me a lopsided grin that wreaks havoc on my ovarian system, while holding my hand in both of his.

I swallow and try to look totally unaffected as I answer. "Yeah, to be honest, I wasn't sure you would recognize or even remember me. As you can see, I am doing quite well. And from what I hear and see, you are too."

"Oh, believe me, Willa, you are not someone to be easily forgotten," he says, winking at me, and I hear Joel chuckle behind me. "And well, I guess I am doing good, at least career-wise."

I suddenly have a feeling these will be some very, very long days and I almost regret agreeing to this. I get this weird urge to ask him how often women faint from just being in his presence, as I am right now completely sure it has happened on more than one occasion.

  • My secret baby with the moviestar   Epilogue

10 years later*Willa*“I still can’t believe that I’m a grandmother,” I say in awe, cradling the tiny boy in my arms. His delicate features are so new to the world, and yet he feels like a part of me already. “And for twins, nonetheless.”Just ten days ago, Will and Dawn welcomed their beautiful twins… a boy and a girl… into the world, thanks to the incredible generosity of Dawn's cousin, who acted as their surrogate. In a beautiful twist of fate, Will also donated sperm to the cousin and her wife, who are expecting their own baby in about a month. It’s a beautiful exchange of love and support between families, and while I was initially anxious about the arrangement… what if the cousin decided she wanted to keep the babies or if there was some kind of falling out? … everything unfolded so perfectly. My heart swells with pride for both couples; they’ve truly helped one another in a most meaningful way.Levi gently rocks our granddaughter in his arms, humming softly as he gazes down at

5 weeks later*Dawn*"Hi honey." I grin as I open the door to Will, letting him in. He is walking well enough now to go most places with just the help of a crutch, and his lip is getting smaller day by day. He will never be a sprinter, but he is beyond happy to be walking."Hi sweetheart, I am home." He smiles and puts down his bag.My parents are away for the weekend, and Will is staying over here. "So, ready for a weekend of fun?"He just grins and pulls me closer to him, kissing me silly. And I feel the butterflies go crazy in my stomach. I know I am ready for this, and I am sure he is too. I also know he would probably never take the first step, so I will have to."So, what are our plans for the weekend?" he asks, while planting small kisses down my neck, making me close my eyes, enjoying the feeling of his lips on my skin.I smile at him, taking a deep breath before answering. "Well, I actually have quite a lot of plans." I let a hand slide up under his T-shirt, feeling how all h

4 days later*Dawn*A soft knock reverberates through my room, pulling my attention away from the pages of the book I’m engrossed in. I glance up, curiosity prickling at the back of my mind. Will is supposed to be at his doctor's appointment today, so it can’t be him. “Yeah?!” I call out, my voice echoing slightly in the quiet space. The door creaks open, revealing a familiar face framed in the doorway. “Can I come in?” Jason’s voice is hesitant, almost fragile. My heart skips a beat at the sight of him. “You?!” I spin around, shock coursing through me. No, I must be imagining things… how could it be him standing there? “What do you want? Your… friend is out of jail, so maybe you should go be with him.” The words tumble out, a defensive reflex.I take an instinctive step back, uncertainty gnawing at me. Why is he here? But the thought of him coming into my home, into my personal space to hurt me or threaten me seems absurd. Surely he wouldn’t be that reckless.“He isn’t my friend… not

*Willa*“Mom! Dad!” I hear Will’s voice call out as the front door swings open, and an icy knot of dread twists in my stomach. Instinctively, I know something is wrong.Levi leaps to his feet, urgency written all over his face as he rushes into the hallway. Moments later, he returns, cradling a sobbing Dawn in his arms. Will follows closely behind, his face a mask of distress. “She seemed okay at first, but then… she just started crying,” he stammers, his voice trembling.“What happened?” I ask, my heart racing with worry as Levi gently places Dawn on the couch beside me. I wrap my arm around her and pull a soft blanket around her shivering frame, wanting nothing more than to shield her from the world’s cruelty.“It was Terry… a boy from school. You know, one of the ones who has been bullying her. He stopped us and… he…” Will pauses, his eyes squeezing shut as if trying to block out the memory. “He wanted to force himself on Dawn.”Horror washes over me as Dawn buries her head deeper

  • My secret baby with the moviestar   Anything for her

*Will*True panic grips me, an iron vice tightening around my chest. Of course, I’m terrified for Dawn and the peril she’s in at this very moment. But intertwined with that fear are the haunting echoes of my past… memories of my mom and Dan, and that suffocating sensation of helplessness that wrapped itself around me then, just as it does now. The weight of not being able to save someone you love is a burden that never truly lifts, and I can feel it pressing down on me, suffocating.“Help! Help us!” I scream into the encroaching darkness, my voice cracking under the strain of desperation, praying that some passerby out for an evening stroll might catch wind of our plight. I pivot my gaze back to Terry, my heart racing. “Please, don’t do this… let her go… we can still walk away from this.”“Walk… funny,” he replies with a sneer, the twisted grin on his face sending a chill through me. “You can scream all you want, wheels… the only house close enough for anyone to hear you is mine, and

Saturday*Dawn*“So, where do you want to go next?” Will says, his eyes sparkling with genuine enthusiasm as he smiles at me.“Hmm.” I glance down the street, the vibrant storefronts beckoning with their colorful displays. “I could really use a new mascara and maybe a lipstick. But then again… I mean, looking at makeup might be rather boring for you.”He shakes his head vigorously, his expression earnest. “Dawn, today is your day. Besides, seeing the joy on your face… nothing is boring as long as I’m with you.” His words wrap around me like a warm blanket, and I can’t help but smile wider.“Aww, you are just the sweetest,” I tell him, feeling a flutter of warmth in my chest. “I promise I’ll be quick, though. Then maybe after, we can stop for a cold drink somewhere nice.”“Sounds perfect,” he replies, his smile broadening, making my heart skip a beat.We stroll down the street, the sounds of laughter and the scent of fresh pastries wafting through the air as we approach the makeup stor
