*Willa*

"What the hell was that about, Willa?" Angela looks at me curiously as we walk to the cafeteria to get our lunch. "Did I interrupt something steamy about to go down?"

I know I am blushing, and my heart rate definitely isn't quite back to normal yet. I'm not completely sure myself what the hell happened. "Nothing happened... we were… we were just talking."

"Talking? That gorgeous man was all over you, Willa, and the way the two of you acted during our meeting. I was afraid Iwould get pregnant or something if I stepped between you. So spill, what's going on?" Angela says. "And do not say nothing."

I nod and take a deep breath. "To start with the beginning, I met Levi fifteen years ago. Long story short… I stayed with his family because my mom was dying of cancer. He came home for the weekend. I ended up losing my virginity before he left the next day with his girlfriend, and I never saw him again before today."

"Wow, seriously? You lost your virginity to Levi Thomsen? Like, for real? Why have you never told me that?" She looks at me with wide eyes as we enter the cafeteria. “Why isn’t that in your description on social media, I would so put it in mine.”

I shrug and ignore her last comment. "Well, he wasn't famous back then. And it's not really something I go around telling people. It was a very long time ago. Water under the proverbial bridge and all that."

"It doesn't seem to be in the past to me. He was clearly not in your office just to talk, and the tension between you two is ridiculous. I mean, I'm afraid to be lit on fire by the sparks if I get too close," Angela says with an arched eyebrow. "So you never forgot him."

I shake my head. Honestly, by now, I just want these days to be over and done with. I want nothing else to do with Levi for several reasons. "There might be slight tension, but nothing is going to happen. I want nothing to do with Levi besides what is required for work… it's over and done."

"Why not? He's totally hot and sexy. Who wouldn't want an extra piece of that?" She grabs some food and goes to sit down; I follow her lead. "He's basically every woman's dream man."

I open my bottle of water and take a big gulp. "Well, I already had a piece of that, and it didn't end well for me. And besides, I don't really do the whole one-night thing, so thanks, but no thanks."

Angela doesn't say anything; she just looks at me and shakes her head, then starts to eat. I am pushing my food around on my plate, once again thinking back to that day.

15 years ago:

"Hey, Willa, you're not eating anything," Emma says, snapping me out of my thoughts, and I blush violently. I had been thinking about how I wanted to run my hands through those floppy curls of her brother's. They just look so soft.

I try to make up an excuse. "I'm just not really hungry," I say, not exactly lying. I don't really have an appetite; my mind is way too preoccupied with Levi… his hair, his smile, the way his hands move, and the little sounds he makes while eating.

Seriously, I have never experienced anything like this. Boys have never really been of interest to me at all. I'm not sure why he's getting under my skin like this.

Levi is sitting right across from me at the table, and every time I look up, I find myself being sucked into the oceans hidden in those hazel eyes.

I'm usually not one of those silly giggling girls at all. But somehow, every time Levi speaks to me or I try to speak to him, I go all blushing and giggling, and my IQ drops significantly, which makes me even more perplexed since Levi is clearly very smart and intelligent… He must think I'm an idiot.

"It's important to eat something to keep up your strength," Levi says, sending me one of those flashing smiles that turns me all gooey, and I find myself nodding and starting to eat, which earns me another smile. "Good girl."

"It's a good thing someone can get you to eat. I know you're going through a hard time, but Levi is right, you need to stay strong for your mother," Diana says, smiling at her son.

And that's when I feel something on my leg and discreetly look down. Levi’s long legs can easily reach me under the table, and his left foot is gently caressing my leg, as if he wants to get my attention.

I look up at him, and he sends me a sweet smile and winks at me, turning me into a blubbering mess again. I don't try to move away or remove his foot. I'm not really sure what I want him to do.

He puts it down but leaves it so his foot touches mine. And I feel disappointed and excited in equal measures.

If focusing on anything but him was hard before, it's next to impossible now, and I keep sending him stolen glances, almost always to find him looking at me. He seems totally unaffected, though, and just keeps talking to his family, sending me a smile once in a while.

Back to present day:

"We better get back and start shooting," Angela says, pulling me from my daydreams and making me jump slightly with surprise. I had totally forgotten she was sitting right there, lost in the memories once again.

I get up quickly and go to throw out my almost untouched lunch, my appetite not really present. It's a good thing this is only for a couple of days, or I might end up losing a lot of weight, which I don’t need. "Yeah, we better do that."

As we walk back, I'm thinking about how to handle Levi and what happened in the office. That had been an emotional and physical rollercoaster.

Technically, he probably overstepped some boundaries, but in the end, I decide to just act like it never happened. I'm pretty sure he had just been caught up in the memories too, and this is not a normal thing for him to do.

But nothing like that can happen again. No, I need this over and done with as fast as possible and Levi back out of my life before he finds out how our little encounter really ended.

  • My secret baby with the moviestar   Epilogue

10 years later*Willa*“I still can’t believe that I’m a grandmother,” I say in awe, cradling the tiny boy in my arms. His delicate features are so new to the world, and yet he feels like a part of me already. “And for twins, nonetheless.”Just ten days ago, Will and Dawn welcomed their beautiful twins… a boy and a girl… into the world, thanks to the incredible generosity of Dawn's cousin, who acted as their surrogate. In a beautiful twist of fate, Will also donated sperm to the cousin and her wife, who are expecting their own baby in about a month. It’s a beautiful exchange of love and support between families, and while I was initially anxious about the arrangement… what if the cousin decided she wanted to keep the babies or if there was some kind of falling out? … everything unfolded so perfectly. My heart swells with pride for both couples; they’ve truly helped one another in a most meaningful way.Levi gently rocks our granddaughter in his arms, humming softly as he gazes down at

5 weeks later*Dawn*"Hi honey." I grin as I open the door to Will, letting him in. He is walking well enough now to go most places with just the help of a crutch, and his lip is getting smaller day by day. He will never be a sprinter, but he is beyond happy to be walking."Hi sweetheart, I am home." He smiles and puts down his bag.My parents are away for the weekend, and Will is staying over here. "So, ready for a weekend of fun?"He just grins and pulls me closer to him, kissing me silly. And I feel the butterflies go crazy in my stomach. I know I am ready for this, and I am sure he is too. I also know he would probably never take the first step, so I will have to."So, what are our plans for the weekend?" he asks, while planting small kisses down my neck, making me close my eyes, enjoying the feeling of his lips on my skin.I smile at him, taking a deep breath before answering. "Well, I actually have quite a lot of plans." I let a hand slide up under his T-shirt, feeling how all h

  • My secret baby with the moviestar   Stepping up

4 days later*Dawn*A soft knock reverberates through my room, pulling my attention away from the pages of the book I’m engrossed in. I glance up, curiosity prickling at the back of my mind. Will is supposed to be at his doctor's appointment today, so it can’t be him. “Yeah?!” I call out, my voice echoing slightly in the quiet space. The door creaks open, revealing a familiar face framed in the doorway. “Can I come in?” Jason’s voice is hesitant, almost fragile. My heart skips a beat at the sight of him. “You?!” I spin around, shock coursing through me. No, I must be imagining things… how could it be him standing there? “What do you want? Your… friend is out of jail, so maybe you should go be with him.” The words tumble out, a defensive reflex.I take an instinctive step back, uncertainty gnawing at me. Why is he here? But the thought of him coming into my home, into my personal space to hurt me or threaten me seems absurd. Surely he wouldn’t be that reckless.“He isn’t my friend… not

*Willa*“Mom! Dad!” I hear Will’s voice call out as the front door swings open, and an icy knot of dread twists in my stomach. Instinctively, I know something is wrong.Levi leaps to his feet, urgency written all over his face as he rushes into the hallway. Moments later, he returns, cradling a sobbing Dawn in his arms. Will follows closely behind, his face a mask of distress. “She seemed okay at first, but then… she just started crying,” he stammers, his voice trembling.“What happened?” I ask, my heart racing with worry as Levi gently places Dawn on the couch beside me. I wrap my arm around her and pull a soft blanket around her shivering frame, wanting nothing more than to shield her from the world’s cruelty.“It was Terry… a boy from school. You know, one of the ones who has been bullying her. He stopped us and… he…” Will pauses, his eyes squeezing shut as if trying to block out the memory. “He wanted to force himself on Dawn.”Horror washes over me as Dawn buries her head deeper

*Will*True panic grips me, an iron vice tightening around my chest. Of course, I’m terrified for Dawn and the peril she’s in at this very moment. But intertwined with that fear are the haunting echoes of my past… memories of my mom and Dan, and that suffocating sensation of helplessness that wrapped itself around me then, just as it does now. The weight of not being able to save someone you love is a burden that never truly lifts, and I can feel it pressing down on me, suffocating.“Help! Help us!” I scream into the encroaching darkness, my voice cracking under the strain of desperation, praying that some passerby out for an evening stroll might catch wind of our plight. I pivot my gaze back to Terry, my heart racing. “Please, don’t do this… let her go… we can still walk away from this.”“Walk… funny,” he replies with a sneer, the twisted grin on his face sending a chill through me. “You can scream all you want, wheels… the only house close enough for anyone to hear you is mine, and

Saturday*Dawn*“So, where do you want to go next?” Will says, his eyes sparkling with genuine enthusiasm as he smiles at me.“Hmm.” I glance down the street, the vibrant storefronts beckoning with their colorful displays. “I could really use a new mascara and maybe a lipstick. But then again… I mean, looking at makeup might be rather boring for you.”He shakes his head vigorously, his expression earnest. “Dawn, today is your day. Besides, seeing the joy on your face… nothing is boring as long as I’m with you.” His words wrap around me like a warm blanket, and I can’t help but smile wider.“Aww, you are just the sweetest,” I tell him, feeling a flutter of warmth in my chest. “I promise I’ll be quick, though. Then maybe after, we can stop for a cold drink somewhere nice.”“Sounds perfect,” he replies, his smile broadening, making my heart skip a beat.We stroll down the street, the sounds of laughter and the scent of fresh pastries wafting through the air as we approach the makeup stor
