Victoria’s POV

"Luna," said a maid softly. "I think you'll want to see it."

She extended a small folder.

I took the folder and gestured for her to leave. "Close the door."

As the sound of the door closing echoed in the room, I walked carefully to the window. I opened the folder carefully and began to read.

It did not take a long while for me to understand what the paper held and its importance .

It was a short file -just a few pages-but sufficient to ruin everything.

Alpha Compatibility Test-Result: It showed a Positive for Alpha Lineage Traits.

Twice, I read it. Thin smile curled my lips.

Indeed.

Lila's child carried Alpha blood.

She lied it was Ethan’s child but this paper here proves that the child is not Ethan’s as Ethan was not an alpha hence he does not possess alpha blood or traits.

That meant only one thing.

Adrian.

My son.

Slowly putting the paper away, I watched as my fingers tremble, not from rage but from excitement. For a while, I stood there, my eyes gazing at the wa

  • My sister’s mate became my forbidden love.   A sister’s thanks

Sophia’s POV The scent of dry herbs and old paper is soothing to me. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be here, back in the healer's area, at least not after everything that went down. But here I am, back again in healer's robes. It's not a big deal, just a part-time gig. But at least it keeps me occupied. Having a purpose when I felt downright useless for several months is kind of a big deal.“Easy on that balm, Alma,” I tell one of the young healers. “That stuff burns if you put in too much.” She nods her head even though I could easily tell she was scared. I smile a little; my dad used to tell me the same thing when I was a kid , before he did before all this stuff went down, before the lies.I stop myself and really force the thought away. I can't think of her. Not now. Not when I am slowly trying to make something out of my own life again. But every time I see the blood donation logs stacked on the desk, it hurts inside. It’s been weeks since I looked at them. Th

  • My sister’s mate became my forbidden love.   Threads of guilt

Adrein’s POVI have taken my normal position at the head of the ridiculously long table, whilst the council meeting went on. But today my head was a million miles away.“Your Majesty,” Councilman Harrod said, pulling me back to reality. "It's been weeks since Lady Victoria took over the Eastern Ridge Pack. To my knowledge, things are stable now, and they actually picked up production."I gave a nod, trying to keep my face blank. Yeah. You could call that restoring order. Letting her take charge, that was the right call. At least I hope it was.A few council members muttered their agreement. Then Harrod's Beta, Rhys, chimed in. "Forgive my bluntness, but some of us aren't so sure that putting her in charge was the smartest move."I didn't move even a single muscle but the room immediately changed, the atmosphere changed."Are you suggesting," I asked, "that I cannot trust my own mother?"Rhys hesitated, clearly regretting that he opened his mouth. "I was not intend to be offensive; it'

  • My sister’s mate became my forbidden love.   Fragile dreams

Lila's povI sleep day and night. My healers tell me I must eat more, sleep more, think less. But how does one still the mind when the heart refuses to still its sorrow?I walk in the garden every now and then — same garden where Adrian and I would kiss under the moonlight a few weeks ago when everything was still so nice even though it was covered and backed up by lies and secrets, lies and secrets that when exposed caused heartbreak. The roses are still intact. I wish the same could be done with me.But the pain and sorrow had left me broken.Adrian is never there. He is always occupied, or so I keep telling myself. Perhaps he does not wish to be in my presence just yet . Perhaps things are better this way.My breast tightens at the faint patter of footsteps on the door. I crunched up my ears to catch the knock and his voice that never comes.Sophia comes over frequently.I did not know what to do with her when she was visiting there on a regular basis. When she is in my room, the s

  • My sister’s mate became my forbidden love.   The banished Luna

Victori's POVI stand in the balcony of my new rooms, watching the vast land before me.This was my son's idea of mercy — to exile me here under the guise of honor. Of course, it must look like privilege to the everyone else. To me, it is exile dressed in fancy"Your tea, my lady," Helena, my maid of many years, spoke softly as soon as she kept a tray beside me.I do not look back. My eyes are fixed on the horizon. "Do you hear it?" I whisper. She hesitates, confused. "Hear what, my lady?""The silence," I whisper. "It's… deafening ."Helena makes no comment, but merely bows and slips away silently. I am left to myself — the one company I've never not liked. For years, the palace was my symphony. Every whisper, every plot, every careful step in the game of power had been music to me. And now, silence is all I have. Silence, and the memories of what I destroyed.Everything I hated during the first week here — walls, food, and people. They looked at me suspiciously, and I could almost h

  • My sister’s mate became my forbidden love.   The healing days

Sophia’s POV“This will be the last time I agree to anything mom asks me when it comes to the alpha’s mistress.” I hissed as I walked down the palace hallways.I didn't want to be there. That morning's walk through the hallways was the same as a walk of shame .Mom kept begging me to go sit with Lila. “Come on, Soph, she said, pulling my hands with that look she has when she wants us to get along at the moment. She's still your sister. Family comes first.”“Family is no longer what it used to mean.” I had tried to argue and it failed. So, here am I, going to Lila's room for the first time since she returned to the palace. The guards bowed as I walked pass them. I took deep breaths before opening the door.Lila was by the window, hair down, blanket draped around her and quiet for a moment. Then she turned, and all that was gone.Sophia, she whispered, hesitating, almost as if I might disappear.I stood tall. Mom made me come, I said, void of any emotion. Her eyes darted quickly here an

  • My sister’s mate became my forbidden love.   Back to the palace.

Adrian's POVThe palace had not felt like home for ages, not since that night when it became a judgment court: a place of lies and broken trust. But standing in the hallway outside the infirmary, that had to change, that is, not for power but for her.Lila.Watching her collapse on stage hit me hard. I messed up big time and let her fall. Then, when the healer dropped the bombshell news about the baby, something inside changed. All those walls I had built since her exile, they just crumbled.I am never going to lose her again. Not her, not the kid, not this time.So I gave my first order the next morning.“Get the Luna's rooms ready,” I told the steward. “Immediately.”His eyes went wide. “Your Majesty... you mean—”“Yeah,” I interjected. “Miss Hayes is moving out of the infirmary today. She's under my protection until she is okay” Then, straightening himself, he hesitated. “My King, the council will have something to say.”“The council will do what I tell them.” I replied, my tone
