Chapter 49- The Wedding

I’m sitting in the room putting the last touches on my makeup with my friends. My heart feels so full and light, but my stomach is in knots. Why am I so nervous? We’re practically married already. This is just doing it before the world. I take a deep breath and try to steady the flurry in my tummy.
“Mai..” I glance at Kenya, who is rolling uncomfortably in her chair; she is seven months pregnant and is not too happy right now. “This is so unfair. Why did you get married while I’m still pregnant.” I roll my eyes and turn back to the mirror.
