Drey glanced at me but I swiftly looked outside the window to avoid having eye contact with her. I then swallowed the sudden lump on my throat before I tilted my head, as I was still unable to construct a better continuation.
Did I really say the last eight words? Am I that totally comfortable with Drey’s presence to think that I could have another road trip with her?
