The evening of the long-awaited

day arrived,

and the city lights bathed the waters of the Ismailia Canal in their golden glow, as if celebrating the new love that had blossomed in the hearts of Naomi and Adel. The hall prepared for the celebration was adorned with white roses and golden sparkle, every corner radiating joy, as if it itself were breathing happiness.

Naomi entered the hall in a simple yet elegant white dress, her hair cascading over her shoulders like soft waves, her eyes sparkling with a mixture of excitement and shyness, as if she were gazing upon a new world unfolding in her hands. Beside her, Nelly wore a pink dress, her eyes shining with support and love, as if sharing her friend’s long-awaited dream—the dream that had given birth to this magical moment.

Adel stood at the aisle, clad in a black suit befitting his elegance, a smile never leaving his face, his eyes searching for Naomi among the guests. When their eyes met, the world around them vanished, leaving only the two of them—heart to heart, soul to soul.

He stepped forward with steady steps, extended his hand, and Naomi gently took it. Together, they walked among the guests whose faces shone with joy, as if the entire universe were celebrating their happiness. They reached the wedding platform, and Adel held her hand, his voice trembling yet full of love:

"I promise to be your support and companion in every moment of our lives."

Naomi smiled shyly, her hand settling in his, and said:

"I promise to share love and hope with you, and to build our life together, with all its joys and challenges."

Then the man officiating the ceremony stepped forward and seated himself before them, ready to unite their hearts in an eternal bond.

When the rings were exchanged, joyous voices rose among the guests, while tears of happiness streamed down Naomi’s cheeks. Nelly stood beside them, her eyes sparkling with satisfaction, as if sharing in a dream that had finally come true after a long wait.

After the ceremony concluded, they stepped onto the balcony overlooking the sea, where the city lights reflected on the water like tiny scattered stars upon the calm surface. Adel took Naomi’s hand and led her to the edge of the balcony, where the sea and the boats adorned with lights bore witness to the beginning of a new story.

A soft romantic melody began drifting from a corner of the hall. Adel extended his hand to Naomi, and they started a gentle dance, every step and movement reflecting the true love between them. The dance ended with a long, lingering kiss, a silent promise that this love would never end.

Nelly watched from afar, her eyes shining with hope, wishing that every heart could find love and happiness, just as Naomi and Adel had. That night marked the beginning of a new life—a life filled with love, security, and dreams that would slowly come true, together, hand in hand, heart to heart.

After the wedding night, which had filled their hearts with love and romance, Adel and Naomi returned to their new home, where Nelly awaited them with curiosity and anticipation. The room was bathed in a soft light, and the warm scent filled the space, as if the walls themselves were celebrating this new beginning. The three of them sat around a small table, surrounded by a sense of tranquility and comfort, as if the world had paused for a moment to witness the start of a new life.

Adel sat beside Naomi, gently holding her hand. A warm smile spread across his face as he said, "We have begun a new chapter in our lives, and I promise that every moment will be filled with love and support. Nothing will ever come between us."

Naomi rested her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes for a moment, as if inhaling a sense of security for the first time, and said, "With you, I feel that anything is possible, and that life gives us a new chance to start from scratch."

Nelly looked at them with a smile that blended sorrow and joy, her eyes shining with gentle hope, and said, "I’m happy for you both, and I wish your home to be filled with love and happiness. Thank you, Naomi, for always sharing the details of your life with me, as if I’m a part of this new life."

The days passed quietly, and their new life began to settle like a gentle breeze caressing their hearts. Nelly became part of the household, like the sister Naomi never had, sharing every detail of the day, big or small. Laughter echoed between Naomi and Nelly as they prepared meals, while Adel returned from work to find the home filled with warmth and the spirit of love sparkling in every corner.

One evening, the three of them sat on the balcony overlooking the sea, where the city lights reflected on the water like millions of dancing stars in the clear sky. Naomi held Adel’s hand, smiling as the heart smiles when it feels complete, and said, "Look at the sea… it’s as if it’s writing down the feelings inside us. I feel that every moment here with us is a gift from life."

Adel smiled at her, his eyes radiating reassurance, and said, "With you and Nelly here, I feel that the world is whole, and that true love gives us the strength to face anything."

Nelly watched them quietly, her eyes shining with hope and serenity, realizing that this house was no longer just walls and a roof, but a sanctuary of safety and love. Her new life had truly begun with her friend and her husband, along with the promise that the future would bring everything their hearts had dreamed of.

Evening descended over Paris with deliberate slowness, and the Seine flowed as it always had—indifferent to human sorrow, to their ages, their colors, their identities—a silent witness only to the emotions of lovers along its banks. They sat by the river, Naomi and Adham, close to the water, far from the noise,as if the city itself had decided to grant them more time for farewell,as if time had paused to gift them a few minutes of pure love. They remained silent, watching the trembling reflections of light on the river’s surface.Naomi pulled her coat tighter around her frail body. Then suddenly she spoke, her eyes fixed on the waters of the Seine, without turning toward him:“Adham… I’m not afraid of death.I’m afraid of leaving you.I love you so much.I’m afraid for you after I’m gone—as if I were leaving behind a child, alone after my death.”He nodded in silence. He turned toward her, his gaze taut, his heart racing ahead of his words, and said:“I can’t imagine my life with

In the evening, Adham and Naomi stepped out to walk slowly along the street. Walking was not easy for Naomi; exhaustion was clearly visible on her, growing heavier day after day as the illness tightened its grip. Yet she wanted to feel like an ordinary woman—not a patient, not a rare case in a medical file. She insisted on appearing strong, normal. She stopped in front of a shop window. Her reflection appeared in the glass—pale, yet still beautiful, like a moon worn down by illness but refusing to surrender its name as a moon. She suddenly said, “You know, Adham? Here, I feel that I am still alive… truly alive. In our last days in Egypt, I felt as though I had already left life behind. Listening to the doctors—each one whispering in his own way that there was no hope of recovery, that today might be the last day for Mrs. Naomi…”Naomi burst into laughter, mocking what she had heard from the doctors.Adham laughed with her.He stopped, looked at her for a long moment, then said, “You a

A New Morning in Paris — The Doctor Who Makes No Promises of MiraclesMeeting Dr. Laurent DuboisThe white corridor of the Parisian clinic felt longer than it should have—or at least that was how it seemed to Naomi. Her steps were slow, her hand tightly entwined with Adham’s, as if she feared this place might swallow her the moment she let go.They stopped before a glass door bearing a name engraved in calm, restrained letters:Dr. Laurent DuboisThe door opened to a man in his late fifties. His gray hair was neatly arranged, his glasses thin-framed, his features unmarked by false warmth. He did not resemble doctors who sell hope, but rather those who confront truth without embellishment.“Madame Naomi.Monsieur Adham,”he said quietly, extending his hand.Adham shook it. Naomi offered only a faint smile. They entered the office. The doctor sat behind his desk without attempting any comforting pretense. He spoke directly:“I will not promise you a miracle… but I promise you honesty.”
