The days passed in a gentle, warm rhythm, as if time itself wished to embrace Naomi and Adel in the routine of their new life. The couple began preparing for the future, speaking of their dreams, planning days filled with love and stability, while Nelly, who was also seeking a fresh start, found in this home the warmth of family and the safety of love. She smiled at life once more, after solitude and betrayal had left their deep mark upon her heart.

These were the moments of a new beginning for the three of them—a life overflowing with love, trust, and hope, inspiring anyone lost in the labyrinth of the past, searching for a chance to start anew.

The days unfolded in their new home as if painted on a canvas of warm colors. Morning arrived accompanied by the songs of the small city’s birds, while the gentle sea breeze slipped through the balcony, filling the space with vitality and life. Nelly would wake early, placing her hand softly upon her belly, caressing the child growing within her, smiling silently as if whispering: “Your life here will be happy, little one… I will protect you and love you as your father never could.”

As for Naomi, she prepared to start her day with Adel, who dressed elegantly and greeted her with a warm smile that seemed to fill every corner of the house with comfort. They would sit together on the balcony, sipping coffee, exchanging light conversation about their dreams and plans for the day, while their gazes constantly met, carrying pure love and gratitude for the new chance life had given them.

Nelly, now an inseparable part of this household, accompanied them through each moment, sharing in their laughter and amusing little incidents, drawing strength from their smiles to heal her heart, heavy with past pain. Over time, a sense of calm began to settle within her, as if this new family offered her a chance to overcome loneliness and betrayal—though she still carried a hidden weight in her heart: the child growing inside her, of whose existence no one yet knew—not even Adel.

One evening, the three of them sat on the balcony overlooking the sea, where the city lights shimmered upon the water, and the stars sparkled in the clear sky. Adel extended his hand toward Naomi, and she smiled, placing hers gently in his. Meanwhile, Nelly rested her hand on her belly, sensing a new life forming within her.

Adel spoke: “I am so happy with this life, and with you both, I feel that anything is possible… The love we have found here is a new beginning for all of us.”

Naomi responded with a smile full of love: “Love here has become real, not just between you and me, but among all of us. This city has restored our faith in ourselves and in life.”

Nelly laughed shyly and said: “I know I will not be alone anymore… I feel that we have a little family here, and with each passing day, I feel safe and loved.”

Nelly quietly withdrew to her room, a calm smile upon her lips.

Days passed, and with each new morning, the bonds between them grew stronger. Naomi and Adel planned their future together, discussing their dreams and imagining a home filled with the laughter of children, while Nelly felt warmth and protection for the first time in many long years.

In these moments, each of them realized that the past, with all its pain and betrayal, had been nothing but a lesson opening the door to a new life—a life full of hope, love, and the family they had chosen with their hearts, beginning a new chapter brimming with the happiness they had always dreamed of.

Days passed one after another, filled with joy and happiness, yet in a dark corner of Nelly’s heart—unseen by Adel or Naomi—emotions had formed, tinged with jealousy, along with a plan unknown to anyone. It could mark the beginning of a great betrayal that might shatter a life—or perhaps the start of a new one.

Evening descended over Paris with deliberate slowness, and the Seine flowed as it always had—indifferent to human sorrow, to their ages, their colors, their identities—a silent witness only to the emotions of lovers along its banks. They sat by the river, Naomi and Adham, close to the water, far from the noise,as if the city itself had decided to grant them more time for farewell,as if time had paused to gift them a few minutes of pure love. They remained silent, watching the trembling reflections of light on the river’s surface.Naomi pulled her coat tighter around her frail body. Then suddenly she spoke, her eyes fixed on the waters of the Seine, without turning toward him:“Adham… I’m not afraid of death.I’m afraid of leaving you.I love you so much.I’m afraid for you after I’m gone—as if I were leaving behind a child, alone after my death.”He nodded in silence. He turned toward her, his gaze taut, his heart racing ahead of his words, and said:“I can’t imagine my life with

In the evening, Adham and Naomi stepped out to walk slowly along the street. Walking was not easy for Naomi; exhaustion was clearly visible on her, growing heavier day after day as the illness tightened its grip. Yet she wanted to feel like an ordinary woman—not a patient, not a rare case in a medical file. She insisted on appearing strong, normal. She stopped in front of a shop window. Her reflection appeared in the glass—pale, yet still beautiful, like a moon worn down by illness but refusing to surrender its name as a moon. She suddenly said, “You know, Adham? Here, I feel that I am still alive… truly alive. In our last days in Egypt, I felt as though I had already left life behind. Listening to the doctors—each one whispering in his own way that there was no hope of recovery, that today might be the last day for Mrs. Naomi…”Naomi burst into laughter, mocking what she had heard from the doctors.Adham laughed with her.He stopped, looked at her for a long moment, then said, “You a

A New Morning in Paris — The Doctor Who Makes No Promises of MiraclesMeeting Dr. Laurent DuboisThe white corridor of the Parisian clinic felt longer than it should have—or at least that was how it seemed to Naomi. Her steps were slow, her hand tightly entwined with Adham’s, as if she feared this place might swallow her the moment she let go.They stopped before a glass door bearing a name engraved in calm, restrained letters:Dr. Laurent DuboisThe door opened to a man in his late fifties. His gray hair was neatly arranged, his glasses thin-framed, his features unmarked by false warmth. He did not resemble doctors who sell hope, but rather those who confront truth without embellishment.“Madame Naomi.Monsieur Adham,”he said quietly, extending his hand.Adham shook it. Naomi offered only a faint smile. They entered the office. The doctor sat behind his desk without attempting any comforting pretense. He spoke directly:“I will not promise you a miracle… but I promise you honesty.”
