Aarhea’s Point of View

Another long day.

Another set of obligations pulling me away from Crimson. That was the curse of being Alpha, everyone wanted a piece of you.

I leaned back in the carved oak chair, rubbing my temples.

I looked at the envoys, “Tell your Alpha, that Crimson will honor this agreement, but if Blackthorn shorts us again on supplies, there won’t be a second chance.” I said on them.

An envoy bowed stiffly. “Of course, Alpha Aarhea. We’re grateful for your generosity.”

Generosity?

I hissed. I almost laughed.

Nothing about this job felt generous.

When the room finally cleared and the doors shut, I let out a long breath.

“One week,” I muttered. “It’s only been one week since I left the Crimson for my obligations, and I’m already drowning, and I miss Jake!" I smiled planely while imagining Jake's face.

A knock rattled the door. Before I could answer, it pushed open, and Ellias, my Beta, slipped inside. His usually calm expression was pale, and his jaw tight.

  • Never Again!   Chapter 95: The Cure?

Aarhea’s Point of ViewI stood at the head of the long table, watching the elders shift restlessly in their chairs. Some coughed into handkerchiefs, others clutched beads and charms, their faces drawn tight with worry. We were all waring a facemask. At this time, we must be careful because of the Pandemic.Elder Corin broke the silence first, “Alpha Aarhea,” he took my attention, his voice carrying the weight of authority, “we must face the truth. The Crimson is weakening. The members of the pack are dying. If Alpha Draven offers us a cure, we should accept it!" he said.Murmurs of agreement rippled through the room.I crossed my arms. “And hand him the leash to The Crimson? That’s what he wants. He doesn’t give out favors without chains attached," I informed them.Elder Mira looked at me with a sharp-eyed and thin as a blade, leaned forward. “Chains or not, the members of the pack are desperate. A leader protects her pack above her pride!"Ellias bristled beside me. “Don’t twist this

  • Never Again!   Chapter 94: Alpha Draven's Return!

Aarhea’s Point of View"Alpha Aarhea, Alpha Draven is approaching!" One of the waeriors informed me.I looked at Ellias.Ellias kept pace beside me, his jaw tight, hand resting on the hilt of his blade.“Alpha Aarhea,” he called me low, “we can still turn him away at the gate. No law says we have to let him step foot inside," he suggested.I shook my head, “Turning him away makes us look weak. He’ll twist it against us," I did not agree.Ellias muttered something under his breath, but he didn’t argue further. The gates creaked open, and there he was, Alpha Draven. He rode at the front of a small escort of six men, all dressed in dark leather, their expressions flat and unreadable.Alpha Draven dismounted with the ease of someone who owned every space he entered. The sight of him was like a punch to the gut. Tall, broad-shouldered, his black coat dusted with road dirt yet still carrying the weight of authority. His eyes swept over Crimson, taking in the sick, the crumbling strength, th

Aarhea's Point of View:That night, I went to Ellias. I pulled my jacket tighter around me, and walked. When I arrived at his room, I told him what my intention."At this hour, Alpha Aarhea?" he asked, not believing what I said."Yes. I can't sleep, There are many questions in my mind, and I need clarifications," I said.He titled his head before he prepared. We were walking at the place where the woman at the hospital said the she saw Roman.“Feels wrong,” Ellias muttered beside me, his boots crunching over gravel. “Like the whole forest’s holding its breath.”He wasn’t wrong. Even the crickets had gone silent.I scanned the tree line. “The girl said she saw Roman here. If there’s any trail, it’ll be along the border.”Ellias raised his flashlight, its beam cutting through the dark. The wooden gate stood tall ahead, rough planks scarred with claw marks. Not fresh, but deep enough to make my skin prickle.I crouched, tracing my fingers over the grooves. “Not one of ours. Too jagged. W

  • Never Again!   Chapter 92: crimson Pack is Collapsing!

Aarhea's Point of View:The council room smelled of smoke and damp stone. The firepit in the center burned low, shadows flickering against the carved walls. I stood at the head of the table, Ellias beside me, while the elders filled the benches one by one.Elder Corin sat nearest the fire, his expression hard and unreadable. He didn’t even wait for the last elder to settle before he spoke.“The Crimson is collapsing,” he said. “Our members are weak and dying. The people demand answers to this situation. They demand leadership. What will you give them, Alpha Aarhea?”I gripped the edge of the table. “I will give them the truth. This sickness is not natural—it’s an attack. Roman, Logan, and Amara are behind it! And I will seek the cure for this!”A murmur ran through the room. Some elders frowned, and others looked away.“Do you have proof?” one of the elders asked.“I have testimony,” I said firmly. “A witness saw Roman at the east gate as wolves fell sick. Smiling. Watching. That’s pr

Aarhea's Point of View:The drive back to Crimson was long and tense. Rain streaked across the windshield, and the hum of the tires on wet asphalt filled the silence.I could not help my self to think the Pack! The members who were in the bad situation now!"Faster, Ellias! We don't have much time!" I ordered him.Ellias kept his eyes on the road, but I could feel the questions pressing against his tongue.“Say it,” I muttered, staring out at the blur of trees rushing past.He hesitated, then sighed. “What if your thoughts are correct, Alpha Aarhea? What if Roman is behind this? You’ve got no proof, AlphaAarhea. What if this is just… nature?”“Nature doesn’t work like this,” I shot back. “Wolves don’t just drop in dozens overnight. This was planned. This was Targeted!" I replied.Ellias tapped his fingers against the steering wheel. “Planned how? With what? You think they brewed up some kind of virus in a basement?”I didn’t answer. Because deep down, that’s exactly what I thought.Th
