Chapter 3

Author: Anonymous
"Bianca," I called out.

My voice sounded distant, as if it wasn't really mine.

"If you can only choose between Theo and me, who will you pick?"

"Logan, do you really have to do this? Theo is sick, and you still want to compete with him. Fine, I'll tell you. I choose Theo. Happy now?" Bianca snapped.

"Alright. Since you made your choice, let's get divorced."

My jaw ached, like I was about to grind my back teeth to dust.

"Since you can't forget Theo, there's no point in me clinging on anymore. Let's both let go. Divorce is the best choice."

I couldn't understand why Bianca couldn't forget Theo, yet also refused to let me go.

Did she really want to make me a cuck for life, never to hold my head high again?

There were so many things I had turned a blind eye to in the past. Now, I didn't want to endure it anymore.

The world didn't revolve around Bianca alone. If I loved the wrong person, so be it. I could start over.

When Bianca heard what I said, her eyes filled with disbelief. She reached out and grabbed my arm, demanding an explanation.

"What are you talking about?! Have you lost your mind? You want a divorce?"

I let out a cold laugh and shot back at her.

"What else am I supposed to do? Wait for you to openly humiliate me?"

Her expression froze for a moment before she turned to me with a sneer.

"Reverse psychology doesn't work on me. If we really get divorced, no matter how much you beg later, I won't take you back."

"That will never happen. I'll have the divorce papers ready as soon as possible. When the time comes, you just need to sign."

At that moment, I felt unbelievably calm.

Maybe Bianca's actions had finally woken me up. I realized she didn't love me, so nothing I did would ever matter.

The moment Theo came back, I became completely unnecessary.

When Bianca saw how serious I was, her face flushed with anger. She glared at me furiously.

"So you're serious about this, huh? Fine! Divorce it is. I'm not afraid of you!"

She grabbed her bag and stormed out the door.

That argument happened three days ago. In those three days, neither Bianca nor I contacted each other.

Instead, Bianca kept posting vague updates on Instagram. I took a look, and most of them were photos of her with Theo.

What a shameless couple.

I knew exactly what she was trying to do. She wanted to provoke me.

In the past, if I had seen Bianca being this close with another man, I would've broken down and given in long ago.

But now, I didn't love her anymore, so the whole jealousy act felt meaningless.

I hadn't been idle these past three days, either. I had already asked a lawyer to prepare the divorce agreement.

Today, leaving the divorce papers behind and walking away felt like a fitting end to our relationship.

It was just ironic that after six years of marriage, all my belongings fit into a single suitcase.

I moved my things into a small apartment near my company. I had bought it years ago to make getting to work easier.

After marrying Bianca, I never stayed there again. Even when I worked late or had business dinners, I still wanted to go home and be with her.

Now, the outcome was telling me how terribly wrong I had been.

Putting Bianca first in everything never earned me her love. It only made her think I couldn't live without her, so she never had to consider my feelings at all.

After unpacking, I noticed several missed calls from Bianca on my phone.

When I didn't answer, she sent a long string of messages.

[Logan, are you really going to divorce me? You said yourself that you'd always stay by my side! What right do you have to break your promise now?

[Get this straight! Back then, you begged my parents to let me be with you, swearing you would treat me well for the rest of your life. Have you forgotten?

[I don't mind getting a divorce, but you have to tell everyone it was your fault and had nothing to do with me. My parents can't handle it otherwise.

[Fine. I'm willing to take a step back. After I give birth to Theo's baby, I can also have one for you. Haven't you always wanted a kid?]

When I read the last message, I almost laughed from anger.

So this was Bianca's solution. Use a child as compensation.

I gave a bitter, self-mocking smile.

I had thought Bianca reaching out meant she still had feelings for me. As it turned out, she was just afraid I would expose the outrageous things she had done, and her parents wouldn't be able to take the shock.

After all, hearing about their daughter cheating would break the conservative old couple.

But why? Why should I be the one to bear the consequences of her mistakes?

Back then, to protect Bianca, I ignored everyone's judgment and married her. I spent a huge amount of money buying back those distasteful photos.

Bianca was afraid of pain and said she didn't want children. I accepted that, too.

I even told my parents I couldn't have kids and told them not to pressure Bianca.

And what did I get in return?

A wife who wanted to sleep with her first love and have his child.

She spat straight into Theo's face."Theo, you're talking to me about love? Back then, you got together with me to pay off your debts. You think life works that way?" she said bitterly. As she spoke, Whitney turned a mocking, almost pitying look toward Bianca."You think Theo loves you? What a joke!
