Chapter 4

Author: Anonymous
I didn't reply to Bianca. Instead, I blocked every single way she could contact me.

The moment I turned off my phone, I suddenly felt an incredible sense of relief. I had wanted to do this for far too long.

Bianca was an only child, spoiled and doted on since she was young, so she was used to doing whatever she pleased.

In the past, whenever I upset her, Bianca would block me without hesitation.

Only after I lowered my head, pologized, and begged would she “graciously” take me off her blacklist.

Back then, I loved her. Even though it felt childish, I was still willing to indulge her.

But now that I tried doing the same thing she used to do, I finally understood her. It really felt damn good.

Deleting someone who wasn't worth it from my life felt like setting myself free.

What I didn't expect was that the very next day, Bianca showed up at my company.

I was reviewing a contract the department had submitted when my assistant, Max Young, knocked and came in.

"Mr. Keller, there's a woman outside looking for you. She says she's your wife."

I froze for a moment when I heard that. It took me a while to realize it had to be Bianca.

I didn't know what she wanted, but I waved my hand and told Max to bring her in.

The moment Bianca walked in, she sat down across from me angrily and slammed her bag onto my desk.

"Logan, did you hire a bunch of idiots? They don't even recognize me. Fire them now! And why did you block me? Even if you're jealous, you should know your limits."

Listening to her, I found it incredibly ironic. In six years of marriage, this was the first time she had ever come to my office on her own.

For those same six years, she never allowed me to post photos of us together in public. Yet now, she was complaining that no one at my company recognized her as the boss's wife.

Wasn't that ridiculous?

I calmly closed the contract and looked up at Bianca.

"What do you need?"

When she saw how cold I was, her expression immediately darkened. But for some reason, she swallowed her anger.

"Theo ran out of money for chemo. I don't have enough either. Give me your card, and I'll forgive you for making me mad a few days ago."

Bianca reached her hand out to me as if it were only natural, like I was supposed to do anything for her, including paying for her first love's medical treatment.

I couldn't help laughing out loud.

How pathetic I must have been to make Bianca think I wanted a divorce out of jealousy and to let her say something this absurd.

Not only was I supposed to accept her having a child for her first love, but I was also expected to pay to treat my romantic rival?

Wasn't that just degrading?

I stared at the hand she had extended toward me and laughed again.

Then I stood up, walked to the door, and opened it.

"Bianca, I've already decided to divorce you. There's no point in clinging to me now. I don't think there's a man in this world who could accept his wife having a child for her first love and then paying to support him. So why not end things cleanly? Wouldn't that be better?"

Bianca froze.

By the time she reacted, my employees were already watching the two of us.

After all, people at work love this kind of explosive gossip.

Bianca's face instantly turned red. She stared at me with wide eyes.

She pointed at me and shouted, "Logan, are you insane? Why are you saying all that nonsense in front of these people? My parents were still singing your praises not long ago! How did you turn into someone so heartless, someone who won't even save a life?"

Looking at Bianca, burning with anger, I once again felt that divorce was absolutely the right decision.

"I'm talking nonsense? Hah."

I met Bianca's eyes directly, my tone dripping with sarcasm.

"Bianca, do you really think I don't know anything? Have you forgotten what you said at the hospital two days ago?"

Hearing that, Bianca went stiff.

"I've already let you and Theo be together. Don't expect to get anything else from me, or you'll end up with nothing."

After saying that, I turned and walked away.

Letting my emotions get the better of me and exposing family scandals in public was already embarrassing enough.

I really didn't want to stay and face everyone's pitying looks.

But just as I reached the elevator, Bianca chased after me.

She reached out to block me, breathing hard.

"Logan, what did you mean by what you just said?"

I stopped and replied impatiently, "I meant exactly what I said. Did you already forget what you said yourself?"

Bianca pressed her lips together, her face flushing red as she spoke incoherently, "What did I say? I don't remember saying anything!"

I looked at her and, for the first time, felt that she was a really bad liar.

I even regretted it. I should've ended things cleanly with a quick divorce instead of choosing a mutual agreement just to spare her dignity.

"Two days ago, you said you were already sick of me and didn't want to be with me anymore. You stayed by my side only for the money, didn't you? You said that when Theo came back, your heart finally started racing again."

I said each word slowly and clearly.

When she heard that, Bianca's face changed completely.

She spat straight into Theo's face."Theo, you're talking to me about love? Back then, you got together with me to pay off your debts. You think life works that way?" she said bitterly. As she spoke, Whitney turned a mocking, almost pitying look toward Bianca."You think Theo loves you? What a joke! He immediately turned and questioned Bianca."Bianca, is what Logan said true?"Bianca bit her lip hard and looked at me with a pleading expression, hoping I would help her out.But I simply looked away. I had no intention of engaging with her anymore. She really thought I was some kind of fool, ready to take the blame for everything. In the end, Bianca could only awkwardly explain herself to everyone."Logan was joking, Dad.
