Unexpected

Nick was grateful when his weekend to have Tate rolled around. He had already done a weekend alone and it hadn't been easy. Cheyenne had been ignoring him completely, and he had limited his time in the office keeping it to a bare minimum.

It did make him feel bad, being out of the office so much but the truth was he couldn't face her. She pretended he didn't even exist most days. When she needed to tell him something she would put a sticky note on his desk, even if he was there. The couple times he asked her if she wanted anything for lunch when he was actually there she would shake her head no without looking up. It was torture.

Ed had only added to his guilt by commenting on how she seemed upset about something. He had figured she was having "boy problems". Nick only shrugged, it's not like he could tell him that Cheyenne was actually mad at him.
