Emotions

Cheyenne had gone through every emotion possible by morning. She had done everything but sleep last night. Her mind was so confused and she felt as if she had missed out on something huge. 

No matter how many times she tried to tell herself she didn't care. How many times she told herself Nick didn't matter. It never worked. Somewhere in the short time, they had together she had fallen for him.

The sun had barely broken the horizon when she called her dad telling him she didn't feel good and wouldn't be in. She knew that even though he told her ok that he was worried that she was hungover. She needed to be hungover but instead, she was buried in her covers unwilling to move.

Nick hadn't slept much that night either. Cheyenne's face, her disbelief followed by disappointment and hurt wouldn't let him have peace. He told himself he had done the right thing. That he was better off ending things now. He sounded like a broken record.
