I fall into bed, relieved to finally lie down and stretch my aching body, it has been such a long and exhausting day both physically and emotionally.

At the end of the bed, Travis takes off his everything and when he's down to nothing but his boxers, he flops down on the bed next to me and lets out a huge sigh of relief, grateful as I am to finally rest.

Due to the sudden weight of his body and the sagging of the bed (and the fact that I'm used to it by now), I automatically roll onto my side and snuggle against him, resting my head on his chest so that I can feel his breath as he goes up and down. come down, and hear the life pulsing inside him.

Travis lifts his head off his pillow long enough to give me a long, lingering kiss on the crown of my head before letting his head unceremoniously fall back onto the pillow. Then he wraps a supportive arm around my shoulders while his other hand absentmindedly rubs the bare arm I've wrapped around his waist.
