‘Mine’ Xavier growled through the mind-link.

Everyone stared at him. Xavier was the last person that would have wanted a human mate. The Williams hated humans, but Xavier was the worse, after what happened to them, they couldn’t stand that species. Xavier’s wolf backed off the girl on the floor, his mind running a mile a minute. Xavier turned back into his human form and turn away from the girl and moved back to his brothers. His brothers did not know how to react, they knew why this was terrible news, but what should they say, what should they do? All of them hated the situation and wanted to kill the girl off as soon as she arrived, but they needed answers of how she got here. Xavier was clenching his fist and taking rugged hard breaths. Matthew was about to say something, but the human groaned. Mike came over to Xavier and handed him some clothes.

Jess moved to her side and hissed as the pain spread up her body. She slowly pushed herself up on one arm and caressed her bad hip. When she touched her wound, she sucked in a deep breath as she tried not to scream. She was so engrossed in the pain, that she didn’t even realize all the people staring at her, but as soon as she made eye-contact with them her fight or flight kicked in. She forgot all about her pain and shuffled backwards against the wall. Once her back hit the wall her eyes ran over the room, looking for a way out. Her eyes stopped on a group of men and after that, they spoke one word.

“Mine.” The four men all looked basically the same, but there were a few differences with each of them. Her eyes couldn’t look away, not sure whether it was from fear or not. Jess held up her breath, too scared to move. They were extremely big men, they all had dark brown hair – almost black and they looked very intimidating. One of the boys stepped forward and that’s all Jess needed to snap out of the trance, she jumped up quite weakly and made a run for the big glass double doors, but she could only take a couple of steps before her foot burned in pain, she would have fallen, but one of the boys had grabbed her by the arm and ribbed her towards him. Jess screamed as she made contact with his hard muscular body. Jess barely had time to get her footing, before the man ripped her to the middle of the room. Once they reached the middle the man threw Jess forward and she fell to the ground and hissed in pain.

“Joshua.” One member of the people that sat on the big four chairs called out to the man who had grabbed her. The man, now known as Joshua, huffed, and walked backed to his, obviously, brothers.

“What is your name, darling.” Elder Nadia spoke in an angelic voice. Nadia was gorgeous, but she looked strange, her eyes were unique, but clearly not human. Jess started to move away again, but another one of the people on the thrones spoke – Elder Jahar.

“Are humans that deaf? She asked you a question.” He spoke in a rough voice. Jess really got scared when she looked at Jahar’s face. He had half a human face and half a face filled with bark. His braided long black hair also made his pointed ears stand out even more. Jess just stared at him, completely shocked to the core.

“Speak!” Jahar spoke again and Jess jumped at his booming voice.

“Jessica… My name… is Jessica.” Jess spoke in a hoarse voice. Her throat was completely dry, and her fear did not help either. All the men’s ears perked up at the sound of her voice and her name. Even if they did not want to care, their wolves wanted to know more about their mate.

“How did you get here?” Kian asked, seemingly bored. Jess frowned not knowing exactly what they were asking. Weren’t they the once that brought her here? What did they mean when they say got here? Jess was not even sure where was here.

“What do… what do you mean… here?” Jessica asked clearly confused.

“This is taking to long.” Xavier growled and stepped forward towards Jess. He grabbed her by the collar and pulled her up.

“How did you find our territory, girl?!” Xavier growled in her face. Jess was so scared and did not know what to say.

“Speak!” He screamed in her face.

“I don’t know.” Jessica called out as tears filled her eyes.

“I was taking a hike, but I felt something strange when I was on the trail and I differed a bit off it, a few seconds later I was being chase by… by.” Jess stopped in the middle of her sentence and tried to recall what happened, once she remembered what happened the night she was caught. Her eyes connect with his and she whispered the last word as if it was a curse word, fear lacing her word.

“Wolves.”

Jessica was still so entranced with what she was remembering that she was completely thrown off when Xavier dropped her on the ground.

“The girl is useless; she has no information for us.” The man that had grabbed her spoke, clearly annoyed.

“I agree with Xavier. Let’s do this the old fashion way.” Sasha said and stood up from her throne. The woman – Sasha– walked towards Jess, Jess tried to move back, but Xavier grabbed her from the back of the collar and dragged her to her feet. Sasha stood in front of Jess, which made Jess nerves spike even more. The woman in front of her had the strangest eyes, but Jess did not even have time to react, before Sasha cupped Jess’s face and Sasha’s slit pupils grew and became bigger. Jess had no time to recall what happened before she got sucked into darkness.

Jess, Raymond and Matthew sat in the kitchen, Jess sat on Raymond’s lap as she was rolling a piece of bread in her hands, forming a ball.“You have to catch this one, Matt.” Jess said and gave him a pointed look, before lifting her arm and throwing the bread across the room, hoping it would go into Matt’s mouth. The bread flew across the room and landed on the floor; it was nowhere near Matt’s face.“You suck at throwing, love. That wasn’t even close to my face.” Matthew laughed at Jessica. Who knew a person could be such a bad thrower even if the distance was only the width of a dining-room-table? Matthew broke off a piece of bread and rolled it into a ball as Jess huffed at Matthew’s statement. She didn’t believe that she was a bad thrower, but it was Matthew who was a bad catcher. He held up his arm ready to throw and laughed as he saw Jess shut her eyes and opened her mouth. H
