Uneasiness

“We? Have we met before? Oh oh yeah at the party, at the proposal party”

For heaven's sake, why is my tongue quivering in anxiety?

“This is my moment to build a connection with him and I can't even stand him?” I mutter to myself.

“For some reason, you're acting weird, maybe you're introverted I guess.”

“No I'm not, I'm just a bit unstable, maybe it's the weather, yeah, it's the weather”

“If you say so, are you a licensed doctor now?” he squints his eyes with a little smile.

“I am on an internship, hopefully, before the year runs out, hard work will be paid with fortune” I explain, this time, I begin to feel air flowing through my tummy, maybe I'm loosening up.

Did Jason reveal information about me to Richard?

“So you know I'm a prospective physician?”

Indeed I'm loosening up, I summon the courage to ask at least I didn't stutter.

“Well, I have known for a long time, you've always wanted to be a doctor, Molly, I'm happy for you”

Ok..? For a long time? Jason has been telling him about it for a long time now.

“Anyway, please don't be bored, bond with the family. You will be a daughter-in-law in a few months so it's your family now. I was happy to see you and Mom Connect earlier”

Richard expresses sipping from his wine, adjusting like he's done with our conversation.

Before I can say another word, he interrupts again on his feet.

“ Molly dear, I had a long day. It's getting dark, I have to get a result for work and retire for the day, see you around” he says while signalling the maid to clear up his tray.

I'm adrift in lustfulness, hurried with craving for Richard as I watch his lips, and the sexiness of his eyes.

Richard turns to leave but he slips a toe and accidentally stumbles on me clumsily I fell to the headrest of the couch underneath an apple tree.

We stare in deep dreaming eyes longing for each other in the thirst of admiration.

I see him longing for me. While I'm open to anything that comes with us quenching our thirst.

“I'm so sorry, I slipped, see you around Molly dreams” he rushes out of the garden.

“Damn, my thirst for Richard is multiples”

“I see the way he looks at me, I guess the feeling is mutual then” Watching him as he walks sovereignly makes him more divine.

“Richard never opens up to anyone, and he's opened up to me, we even had a dialogue. This shows how much he's into me” I rejoice

I'm left alone in the palatial compound, so I decide to wait for Jason in his bedroom while I relax from my dramatic regalia.

Jason's craftiness

Almost asleep, Jason isn't back. It's been 6 hours already yet he told me he'd be back in 3 hours?

“I guess he can't be masked forever.”

I explore the luxury, sophistication and exclusivity of Jason's chamber, which brings back memories.

“The very first day I stepped into this compound, as a naive young girl, Jason promised never to displease me, he promised me a life and gave me the opposite. He'd never go Scott free” I speak aloud wiping a tear from my eyes while the door cracks open, and it's Jason.

“Hi honey, you're still awake. I thought you'd be sleeping by now, I am sorry I'm late, the workload is heavy, and I have to pour in my best so we. Can maintain our position in the society” he explains while clutching me into his arms tightly, almost gasping for air.

“It's ok, you kept us waiting for too long though, I would have gone back home. Anyway, it's not too late. I think I should go home now.

“Home? No babe, stay a few more days with me, let's bond more babe.”

Jason persuading me to stay is a trap. I'm mentally not prepared for that, except for the fact that I will keep having encounters with Richard as often.

“I didn't come with any dress”

“No no issues honey, we can get clothes anytime. Sometimes I think you forget what I'm capable of”

He brags with head held high, chin up raised eyebrow. His smile isn't soft, but it announces superiority and pride.

“I will have to talk to my parent about it for permission”

Internally, I know, my parents wouldn't protest against such, in fact, they'd start boasting about it to the neighbourhood.

“Jason, you changed your collection of cologne? You smell different”.

This I noticed when he entered the room, but was waiting for the right time to ask.

“Oh.. Oh… yeah.. Yea.. I mean, no, I didn't, it's the same”

He stammers suspiciously. These minutes it's obvious, he was with that woman “Amanda”

As soon as he didn't have a defence any more, he decided to freshen up and that's where it's confirmed.

“A red lipstick on his white sleeve”

Wow, did that happen in the business meeting too? How did I even fall for this man in such a way after getting all these whole clues? “ ridiculous”

My disgust for him multiplies while I watch him show care pretentiously.

After freshening up, Jason falls into bed like a weakling and falls asleep immediately.

“That lady gave him a blast then” I say out loud, yet he couldn't hear me.

Madalien mischief.

In the middle of the night, we rush out of bed on hearing a big bang on the door, it's a maid.

“Sir Jason, ma'am Madeline orders everyone downstairs”

We wonder what that could be that can't wait till morning.

Well, I am not, because it's expected.

“No one leaves this house till my gold is found. No one. Absolutely no one.”

She thunders from the living room.

“I guess Mom, is looking for her valuable”

“Exactly, let's rush to see”

We are both in the living room meeting everyone gathered. All domestic staff are kneeling while everyone is in fear because Ma'am Madeline isn't one to be stolen from.

“But we haven't recorded any missing items for decades as long as I remember, what could have happened today” Madeline’ brother contributed.

“So what are they implying?”
