"I know whoever's behind this is dangling a big reward." Winter took a deep breath and met his stare head-on. "How much did he offer? Let me go, and I'll pay you five times that, or ten times. I can even pay more, if you want."

Greed flickered violently in his eyes. Just as he started working out what ten times the amount would be, his phone buzzed in his pocket.

He glanced at it and quickly left the basement to answer the call.

"Boss?"

"You've got her under control? Is she behaving?" Tom's voice was cold.
