Sade’s POV

After pulling myself together, I walked back towards the foyer and placed my bag on the credenza by the front door for work tomorrow. My purse stays clutched in my hands like a lifeline as I make my way to my bedroom on the first floor. My body still shakes with silent sobs, but the flood of tears has slowed to a trickle. The weight in my chest, though that's still there, pressing down on me like a damn boulder.

I strip out of my clothes and step into the shower, letting the hot water scald my skin as if it can burn away the ache in my soul. My hands press against the tiles, my forehead resting between them as the steam fills the space around me. The water drowns out the sound of my own ragged breathing, but nothing drowns out the memories.

Isla’s voice.

Marco’s touch.

The years I can’t get back.

I stay under the water until my fingers wrinkle until my skin is raw until I feel empty enough to move.

Dressing in my nightclothes, I make my way to the kitchen. My stomach feels

Sade’s POV Sade felt the cold splash of orange juice against her black silk shirt, the liquid rolling off the smooth fabric. She glanced down, unimpressed. The stain wouldn't even show, but that wasn't the point. Deseray, the phony bologna (pronounced phony bol-on-ney ass bitch), stood there with a self satisfied smirk, not even bothering to apologize.Sade raised an eyebrow. "You do realize I'm wearing all black, right? Guess that little stunt didn't go as planned. Try harder next time."Without waiting for a response, I turned and walked off to the bathroom. Inside, I dampened a paper towel and dabbed at my shirt before tossing it in the trash. Just as I stepped out of the stall, Deseray was there, arms crossed and eyes gleaming with malice."I know you have something going on with Mr. Rossi," Deseray hissed. "But he is mine."Sade chuckled, shaking her head. "Is he really yours?""Yes," Deseray snapped. "I put a claim on him."Sade let out a full-bodied laugh. "A claim? What is he

Sade packed two to-go boxes and grabbed a couple of drinks before heading to her room. Adamo was nowhere in sight. With a sigh, she changed into a comfortable t-shirt, short shorts, and footies before stepping onto the balcony to call her kids.Marco Jr. picked up instantly. “Hey, Mom!”“Hey, my babies! How are you?”Kamari's excited voice chimed in. “Mommy, Daddy took us to Build-A-Bear today! He got Jr. a new hat, and we got teddy bears! We had chicken wings and Cinnabon!”Sade smiled. “That sounds amazing! Can you put Daddy on the phone?”Marco Sr. came on. “Hey.”“Hey, thanks for taking the twins to Build-A-Bear. And for spending time with them.”“They’re my kids. I’ll never neglect them,” he replied. “And... thanks for calling me out on how I was treating Jr. I needed that.”“I just don’t want him to fear you,” Sade said softly.Marco exhaled. “Yeah. I get that.

Sade POV After Sade and Cheryl wrapped up their segment, Cheryl pulled Sade to the side and whispered, "Girl, can I ask you a question?"Sade raised a brow. "Sure, what's up?""Did you have sex last night?"Sade’s eyes widened. "What? Why would you ask that? My feet just hurt."Cheryl smirked. "No, girl, not just the way you're walking, which is questionable, but you look thoroughly satisfied, refreshed, and shit, orgasmic. You are glowing like me from that white protein diet.""Girl, shut up!" Sade laughed, shaking her head.Cheryl chuckled. "So, spill. This is the one and only time I’ll ask. You know Adamo looks like a man who can definitely satisfy a woman. And let me guess, it’s one hundred percent true."Sade sighed dramatically. "Girl, he is amazing and amazing to look at. That’s all I gotta say."Cheryl let out a knowing laugh. "I don’t blame you. After what happened in your last marriage, I wouldn’t talk about my sex life with anyone either."As they packed away their materi

Anonymous POV Sade groaned as the alarm blared through the quiet hotel room. Her body ached deliciously, a deep soreness settling into every muscle. She reached out blindly to silence the noise, only to feel another arm stretching towards the same goal. She smirked, knowing full well whose hand was competing with hers. Finally reaching her phone, she swiped at the screen with her eyes still closed, silencing the alarm for a few more minutes.Blinking her eyes open, her vision was still a little foggy, but the sight before her made her lips curl into a lazy smile. Adamo, in his beautifully disheveled state, lay beside her. His hair was a mess, his beard neatly framing his strong jawline, and his sleepy eyes watching her with amused warmth. Her leg was draped over him, her bare skin pressed against his warmth, and she sighed contentedly.“Hey,” she murmured, her voice raspy from sleep.“Hey, love. How are you feeling?” he asked, his deep voice vibrating through her.She stretched again

He stood there, arms crossed, watching me. "I came to check on you. You were gone for a while." "Oh, I ran into an old friend." Adamo's jaw tightened. "The guy with the locs? The one you exchanged numbers with?" I sighed. "Yeah, something like that." I could feel his attitude, thick as the air between us, but hey, we’re not a couple. If he had a problem, that was on him. As we walked back to the table, Cheryl shot me a look. I just shrugged, brushing it off. We sat down, picked up where we left off, talking, eating, drinking. Before I knew it, it was after nine. The restaurant closed at ten, so we wrapped things up, got our to-go boxes, and I finished off my fifth drink. I was hella tipsy. Back at the hotel, I hugged Cheryl and Robert goodbye on their floor. Adamo gave them a polite handshake before

Explicit Scenes Ahead Adamo’s POVAfter the stellar presentation from Sade and Cheryl, the questions seemed to be never-ending. Every time I thought the session was wrapping up, another hand shot up. At ten minutes to four, the host finally excused us, announcing that tomorrow would be our longest day yet with an intense schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with two one-hour breaks in between, followed by dinner and drinks. As we made our way toward the elevators, I was already anticipating getting Sade alone. But, of course, she and Cheryl were immediately stopped by more people wanting to ask follow-up questions. I clenched my jaw, forcing myself to remain composed while the fire inside me burned hotter with every passing second.I needed to touch her. Now.When she finally ended her conversation, we all walked toward the elevators.“I’ll see you at 5:30,” Sade told Cheryl, who nodded before stepping inside.“See you guys then,” I added as we all piled in.Cheryl and Robert exited
