When Igris returned to his seat, he pulled Algin out of his pocket who yawn. Algin smiled at him weakly and set up a barrier around them that he let Igris take over.
Sighing Algin asked, “Will you be able to fight without me?”
Igris scoffed, “What do I look like to you? Some weakling?”
“No, but I know you are not okay,” Algin grumbled and stood up. He looked at Igris and said, “Your elements are going crazy within your eyes and it’s been happening ever since we met your father,” Algin said.
Sighing Igris nodded his head, “I know and I can’t seem to figure it out.”
Where Queseon was sitting, his hands started sparking with spiritual energy. He raised them to look at his hands and smiled, he could feel the spiritual energy fluctuating in his body again.
He looked into the crowd of people and said, >You’ve returned it to me?<
Qykerth smiled under his hood, >You’ve done a great thing for me by raising my son and growing him into what he is right now and I know it must have pained you to sacrifice your life’s work for him.<
Queseon chuckled saying, >A sacrifice I was willing to make. He is MY baby and I will do it again if I could.”
The next challenger jumped onto the stage and shouted out loud, “I am Stell from the Moon Clan and I challenge Igris.”
Igris’s eyes snapped over to her and he sighed, “It looks like I have to go now.”
“You are very popular, have fun, I won’t interfere.” Algin said.
The bubble snapped and Igris said to Sidon, “Keep him safe and don’t let him go.”
“Aye sir,” Sidon said and placed Algin in his lap.
Igris walked over to the ring and when he stood opposite her he said, “Just so you know, I am not interested in women.”
“So men it is?” She smirked.
Igris shook his head and started circling the ring which lead her to mimic his actions, “No, no, not men either.”
“Then what?” She asked with a smile.
“What I am interested in… are the other clans out of water, I know every species in our kingdom but not those above land. Now I know the Moon Goddess Clan and the ruling family clan. You are just next because you are too enthusiastic,” he answered.
“Oh really?” She asked and looked at the elder who nodded his head. She opened her arms and the clouds turned grey.
Igris raised his head looking up at the sky and saw the moon peeking from behind the clouds. He raised an intrigued brow as snow danced down from the clouds.
He lowered his gaze to look at her and saw that her body was covered in a blanket of white light.
Igris exhaled and saw a cloud of white flow out of his mouth. He could feel the cold from the snow enter his body and try to freeze his core but it did not work. He frowned staring at her and said, “You are going to need to do more than that.”
Her brows knitted and she concentrated her spiritual energy as she brought her hands together and formed a sphere concentrating it.
A smirk formed on Igris’s lips as he felt the bone-chilling cold and he said, “You have an interesting ability there, do all those from your clan have this type of strength?”
She frowned and shook her head, “No, my seniors are stronger than me.”
Igris tilted his head as he took a step forward and he said, “But with some time and help from someone other than your clan, you will be much stronger than you are now.”
Stell looked at him confused and said, “Hurry up and fight back!”
“Okay~” Igris said. He snapped his right hand across him and a spark quickly ignited and he did the same with his left with a gust of water seeping out of the void. When the two collided, they merged into a dark blue spark and wrapped around Igris’s body. He clapped his hands together once and the flame spread out throughout the ring covering.
Stell lost her composure feeling the power pressing onto her body and the sky cleared except the ring.
She looked at him as she was shivering and said, “I lose, release me.”
“I don’t think I want to,” Igris said with a smirk.
>Igris,< Queseon sent him a warning.
Igris looked over at his father wondering why does he always interfere? He turned his attention back to Stell and saw that her body was freezing and sent her a message, >The cold is not from the moon or the ocean but from the void. Want to take up on my offer?<
She looked at him oddly and asked, >What is in it for me?<
>You’ll be powerful,< Igris asked as he slowly retracted his spiritual energy.
>And what is in it for you?< She asked suspiciously.
>I plan on building my own clan out of the ocean. I need strong cultivators on my team and you will be one of them.< He answered.
She stood up firmly asking, >Do I have to leave my clan?<
“Isn’t that obvious?” Igris asked walking away.
He sat down on his seat and took Algin from his cousin as she retreated to her place still shivering from the cold.
Sidon looked at his cousin and asked, >So, do we have a new member or what?<
>I think so,< Igris said with a smile.
Sidon chuckled with a shake of his head saying, >Just one of each is okay, we don’t have enough resources for five hundred.<
>I know, I know. I am going to disappear for some time, if you need me you know how to reach me and if you must, please do not kill anyone,< Igris said and disappeared.
“Look, I don’t know what is happening to me,” Igris said to Algin.Algin looked at Igris and said, “This all started after we saw your father’s become intimate. Does this not mean that that is what your core is seeking?”Igris stared at him momentarily then said, “That thought did cross my mind but with who? All I have is you and I have never experienced love before and the idea of being intimate with someone is outlandish.”Algin grew in size and said as he looked at Igris, “We’re grown ups and if you need something from me, I will do it. We’re partners Igris.”Igris looked at him and smiled weakly. Nodding his head he said, “Thank you but you know how hard it will be for us.”
Igris walked up to Queseon, rubbing his neck. They were still watching the battles and things were just getting intense. Queseon and Emperor Cyraeneus immediately felt Igris’s presence when he neared them and could tell that he was trembling. Queseon stood up and asked, “Are you okay, bub?” Those with them turned to look at him and saw that there was something off with him, too. Queseon wrapped his arms around him and hugged him tight. The pendant around Queseon’s wrist that held the ocean’s essence in it wrapped around Igris’s body, calming him down. Igris’s face scrunched, and he looked up at his father and said, “I think I’ve been out of the water too long.” Queseon raised a brow and said nothing. He couldn’t give his pendant to his son, but other than that, Igris was lying to him. He was long past the age where it would affect him if he was out of the window. Nodding his head, he kissed Igris on the for
“Your father is looking for you,” Algin said.Igris was trying to sleep, but woke up the minute he felt Align’s presence near him. He slowly opened his eyes as Algin ran his hands over his chest and climbed on him.Igris stared into his eyes and said, “Did he say what he needs from me?”“No, I never asked. I was just happy to be released. That girl also woke up and is fussing about. It seems like her master chose the second disciple to compete and didn’t do much to try and wake her up,” he explained.Igris turned on his side, flipping Align down to lay beside him and asked, “Did you come here to gossip?”“No,” he said with a smile and wrapped his ar
Queseon stared at his son speechless for a while. He paced around the garden in front of him for a moment then asked, “So you don’t want to be around him, is that it?”Shaking his head he said, “Dad that is not what I mean. I know how it feels when you want someone around you but he isn’t. It’s a terrible feeling. All I’ve ever known is having you in my life and having to deal with our family. Now to have this stranger in our lives, it will just make things difficult.”“Make what difficult? I will speak to your grandfather, I know he won’t be happy but he has no choice, we’ll no longer be a burden to him.”“Father, I want to be free and I can’t be if there is someone unpredictable in our lives,” he said.
“Father,” Queseon greeted his father as he entered the room. The tournament was put on hold so that the cultivators could rethink their strategies, take a break and, in some cases, eat.Emperor Cyraeneus was inside a pool in his merman form when he looked over. He could immediately tell that something was wrong. He turned around, folding his arms over the edge of the pool, and asked, “Is everything okay? Did something happen to Igris?”Queseon smiled and shook his head. He looked at his brothers that were soaking their feet in the water, then looked back at his father and said, “I need to speak with you.”“Aren’t you already?” He asked, amused.Queseon rolled his eyes and said, “So I just learnt that you have a
“We’re here,” Algin said with a smile. Igris was sitting crossed legged in the centre of the pavilion with his legs crossed. He slowly opened his eyes saying, “Welcome everyone.”Sgoth, Volk, Prince Sidon and Prince Quaddrintin stepped in and looked around, they had to enter through a spiritual array in order to get here. Where here was? They didn’t know.Igris smiled at them and turned around. There were pink and lavender pillows scattered in a circle around him, pointing at them with his eyes he said, “Have a seat, we are waiting for the others.”“Others?” Quaddrintin asked as he sat down.Igris nodded, “Yes, the ones I recruited before you all.”Algin
Igris was sitting in a restaurant wearing a crimson red robe with a dragon on the back that has a mermaid tail and rose thorns as scales. Beside him sat Algin with a smile on his face, strumming his fingers against the table. In the different logging pavilions, the robes of each of the members of his clan took their old robes off and folded them neatly, placing them on the bed. Around them, the people were sleeping thanks to an enchantment. They slipped on the crimson robes identical to Igris’s and Algin’s. A portal opened behind them once it sensed that they were complete with their tasks. Stepping into the portal, they looked back for one last time at the life they were leaving behind. As the portal closed, everyone started waking up feeling hazy. They took five steps, then another portal opened in front of them. Stepping out, they were in front of the restaurant, and they could sense that Igris and Algin were inside.Prince Sidon looked at the others and smiled. “Well, let’s go in.
The Crimson Thorn Clan members entered a portal together, but out of the fourteen members, only eleven stepped out.Prince Quaddrintin looked around and saw that trees surrounded them. Those trees were joined together by shining black spider webs they hadn’t seen before. In fact, it was an odd colour for a web.Above, the sky didn’t have a sun, instead, there was a green orb-like moon. The sky was covered by fog that the green orb produced so this place; it had no sky.Suddenly, there was a hiss. Looking behind them, there were huge black scorpion spiders glaring at the people that were in their territory.Mordiana scanned the group with her and said, “There are three missing.”When they looked, the members frowned. What were Igris and Algin planning by sending them here?Dao came fluttering past them and landed on Mordiana’s head, but shivered from her ice aura, then went to Athena and settled on her shoulder.Facing the scorpion spiders, she said, “This is your first task as a group
