THIRD POV

Justin's heart stopped completely. The woman lying next to him wasn't just anyone. It was Amelia. His mate. The woman he'd been desperately wanting for weeks.

"Amelia," he whispered, his voice cracking with shock and something that might have been hope.

She was already moving, grabbing her clothes from the floor with shaky hands. Her face was pale, her eyes wide with what looked like panic.

"This was a mistake," she said quickly, not looking at him. "A huge mistake."

"Wait." Justin sat up, reaching for her. "Amelia, please. We need to talk about this."

"No." She pulled her shirt over her head roughly. "There's nothing to talk about."

"Are you kidding me?" Justin stood up, not caring that he was naked. "We're mates, Amelia. We just spent the night together. You can't just run away again."

She finally looked at him then, and the pain in her eyes hit him like a punch to the gut. "Watch me."

"Amelia, stop running from this. From us." He stepped closer, his voice getting desperat

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    You Believed That?

CARLOS' POVI decided to finally talk to Nora about Sophia and sort things out with her since things were slowly getting out of hand. Nora was being stubborn at first, but I was later able to get her to speak to me. "I wanted to talk to you, and instead of paying attention to me, you hurried off with Sophia," she accused me. I ran my hands through my hair. "Sophia said she had sensitive information about potential threats from neighbouring packs. I had to listen to her." "And you believed that?""Why wouldn't I?"Nora stared at me like I was the most naive person she'd ever met. "Carlos, that woman has been manipulating you since the day she arrived. Every conversation, every memory, every moment of vulnerability - it's all been calculated to pull you away from me.""You're being paranoid.""Am I? Then explain why she only needs your help. Why she only feels safe with you. Why she only remembers these childhood stories when I'm around to hear them."I wanted to argue, but something

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    Those Were Simpler Times

NORA'S POVThe next week was torture. Pure tqporture designed by Sophia to drive me completely insane.Every morning at breakfast, she would appear looking pale and fragile, touching Carlos's arm as she spoke. "I had those nightmares again last night," she'd whisper. "About the rogues. I kept calling for you in my sleep."Carlos would immediately turn all his attention to her, asking if she needed anything, if she wanted to talk about it. Meanwhile, I sat there feeling invisible."Carlos, remember when we used to have breakfast together every morning when we were children?" Sophia would say with that sweet, innocent smile. "Your mother always said we were inseparable.""I remember," Carlos replied, his eyes getting that distant look. "Those were simpler times.""Maybe we could have breakfast together sometimes, just the two of us? Like old times? I feel so much safer when it's just family."And Carlos would agree. Every damn time.I watched this manipulation happen day after day. Soph

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    It Would Only Get Worse

NORA'S POVThree days. Three whole days of watching Sophia play the perfect victim while she wrapped Carlos around her little finger. I was losing my mind.Every morning, she would appear at breakfast looking pale and fragile, claiming she'd had nightmares about the rogue attack. Carlos would immediately drop everything to comfort her. Every afternoon, she'd find some excuse to need his help - she was too weak to carry things, too scared to walk alone, too traumatized to eat without someone familiar nearby. And every evening, she'd monopolize dinner conversation with stories about their childhood. "Remember when we used to climb that old mango tree behind the castle?" she'd say with that sweet smile. "You always caught me when I fell."I sat through it all, trying to be the understanding mate. Trying to tell myself I was being unreasonable. But watching Carlos's face light up with nostalgia while Sophia hung on his every word was killing me slowly.Today was different though. Today I'

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    Trying To Calm Myself

NORA'S POVThe morning sun felt warm on my skin as I practiced my defensive moves with Carlos in the training ground. "Your form is getting better," Carlos said, dodging my punch with a grin. "But remember to keep your guard up.""I'm a warrior Luna. I am not helpless," I shot back, aiming another hit at his shoulder. He caught my hand gently. "I know. But I can't help worrying about you."I was about to respond when a voice called out across the training ground. A voice filled with so much emotion and longing that it made me freeze."Carlos!"We both turned toward the voice. A woman was running toward us, and I felt my breath catch in my throat. She was absolutely beautiful. Long golden hair, perfect features, and a delicate build that made her look like she might break if someone looked at her wrong. But it was her eyes that made my stomach twist. They were filled with pure love and adoration as she looked at Carlos. The kind of look that spoke of deep, intimate feelings."Sophia?"

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    You Are Still Fighting

THIRD POVThree days of war preparations had passed when Marcus approached Justin with a thick folder. His expression was serious, almost hesitant."You asked me to look into Amelia's background," Marcus said quietly. "I found what you wanted to know. But Justin, this isn't easy reading."Justin took the folder with steady hands, though his heart was racing. "Tell me.""She was part of the Silver Moon pack in Colorado. Had a mate there. Derek Morrison, the Alpha's son." Marcus's voice grew hard. "He rejected her publicly at their mating ceremony. Chose her best friend instead."The folder felt heavy in Justin's hands. "Rejected her? At their own ceremony?""Gets worse. He claimed she wasn't strong enough to be Luna." Marcus shook his head in disgust. "Her best friend, Elena, had been sleeping with Derek behind Amelia's back for months."Justin's wolf snarled inside him. The thought of someone hurting Amelia like that made his blood boil. "Where is this Derek now?""He lives happily wi
