CARLOS' POV

My heart melted completely when I heard my son's voice. He was also with his sister, Zoey. I was really excited to see the twins once again, after so many weeks.

Behind them stood King George himself, looking travel-worn but smiling. "Surprise, Carlos. I brought the whole family back."

I grinned and ruffled Zach's hair. "Well, I was just having a friendly conversation with Uncle Justin here." I looked at Justin with mock seriousness. "Sorry for teasing you, Uncle Justin. Please forgive me."

Justin rolled his eyes. "Very mature, Alpha."

But my attention was caught by a slender figure standing behind King George. A woman dressed in warrior's clothing, her posture straight and alert. She had dark hair pulled back in a practical bun and sharp, intelligent eyes that seemed to take in everything around her.

"Who's that?" I asked George, nodding toward the woman.
