Carla

I took the tray out as my mind was already preoccupied with Aeden. No matter how much I try, he manages to get under my skin.

I was through the end of the dark hallway when I bumped into something, rather someone. A small shriek escaped my lips as it was dark and I scared myself. Before the contents of the tray and I could crash down on the floor, two strong arms held me up by shoulders and steadied me.

“I’m sorry,” I was quick to apologize but when I look up to see who the person was, my eyes widened and my mouth hung open in disbelief. Panic rushed my entire being and instantly began thrashing in his arms.

“Leave me,” I whispered because I was still not able to get the idea of him being here. He was dressed up in all black, probably to camouflage himself in the dark.

“Not so soon, Carla,” he smirked as he pulled me closer to himself and licked my ear shell.
