VII: Dinner Party

Avanah is a vision in a tight-fitting red dress, her curves on full display and looking good enough to sink my fangs into. But I haven’t tasted her blood yet, since that’s a sacred part of a bond with your Fated and she feels the same way.

She chose Kaia for this without knowing the backstory we share and I am not about to tell her either.

We arrived at the hotel just before eight and walked inside. There were already a few people there, and we decided to mingle a bit. After about an hour of being there, I notice that Kaia is nowhere to be seen; even Arkyn is missing.

Spotting Kira talking with two other women, I get her attention, and she excuses herself from the group while I meet her halfway.

“Elijah, lovely to see you again,” she says as we lightly embrace and I plant a light kiss on her cheek. “Arkyn is busy with some pack issues that need to be straightened out and will be here momentarily.”
