Charlotte POV

I walked briskly down the hallway of our cozy home, my mind preoccupied with thoughts of the upcoming art exhibition. The pressure and excitement intertwined within me, creating a whirlwind of emotions. As I turned the corner, I almost collided with Hazel, who seemed equally lost in her own thoughts.

"Oh, Charlotte, I'm so sorry," Hazel exclaimed, her eyes wide with surprise. "I didn't see you there."

I forced a smile, trying to brush off the near collision. "No worries, Hazel. I was lost in my own world too."

Hazel's brows furrowed slightly as she studied my face. "Is everything okay, Charlotte? You seem a bit... distant."

I hesitated for a moment, contemplating whether to share my concerns. But the weight of my thoughts compelled me to open up to my dear friend. "To be honest, Hazel, I'm feeling overwhelmed with the exhibition. The pressure to create something exceptional is starting to take its toll on me."
