Ashley POV

She stared at me as though I'd lost my mind, and I smiled within myself.

She then asked, "Is that why you're dressed up like a doll, like an ancient Cinderella, just to catch your Alpha's attention? What if he doesn't notice you? You'll end up feeling bad and crying your eyes out, won't you? If I were you, I wouldn't do that. I'll just sit here and chew popcorn, watching the snow falling outside since there's no phone or television here."

I observed her before shaking my head. She seemed boring; here, I was thinking she'd be excited about coming with me.

"What's an ancient Cinderella?" My question paled her face, her mouth fell open, and the popcorn she had just shoved into her mouth all fell to the floor.

"You don't know what Cinderella is?" She asked, and I shook my head. She looked even more bewildered. She must be thinking she had died, and this is her afterlife, but it's all a prank. We're the hunters' family, and we behave differently from the rest of the pack. But I
