“Father, I think that’s enough.”

Noah's sudden interruption brought both their attention to him. Bernard blinked in surprise, unable to read his son’s expression as he held his head low, his hair casting a shadow on his face.

“Is something a matter?” Bernard asked, wondering what has gotten into him out of the blue.

“If she knew something then she would’ve told you,” Noah stated, his voice was hostile but Bernard doubted it was because of him. Noah was worried for Ophelia.

He saw the look on her face as she was forced to relive every minute of that cursed night. The hurt on her face was like knives in his heart. The sparkle in her violet eyes was gone, her mind locked her consciousness in a memory of a past she would rather forget.

But then again, could she truly bring herself to forget the last memory of her family? Noah wondered and felt that the answer was obvious.
