I barely slept.
Every time I closed my eyes I felt him again. The heavy swing of his balls. The way he had flipped me and fucked me until I was sobbing into the pillow and calling him Daddy. My body still vibrated with it. I smelled like him. The pleasant ache between my thighs was a constant reminder that last night had not been a dream.
I dressed carefully, looking at myself in the mirror and blushing for no good reason. Cream top. Brown trousers. Hair brushed and pulled into a neat ponytail. No sign that I had spent half the night getting railed in the dark. I looked too innocent for a woman who had just discovered what real sex felt like.
When I was done I stepped into the corridor. The second I closed the door behind me I found Adrian already walking toward me from the other end with a small bouquet of white roses.
He looked polished as always. Dark-brown hair is neat, his eyes wide and warm brown.
I couldn’t help the heat that rose in my face. My temperature climbed all over.
“Good morning,” he said, holding the flowers out. “Thought I’d escort my fiancée to breakfast. First official family meal.”
I took the roses and tucked an invisible strand of hair behind my ear. “Thank you.”
Just as we took a step toward the dining area, the door directly opposite mine (the same door I had slipped through last night) opened.
A man stepped out.
He was unfamiliar.
Tall. Broad-shouldered. Dark hair that was still slightly damp. Sharp angular face. A kind of weird stubble. Gray eyes that caught the morning light with quiet delight.
He was adjusting the cuffs of a black shirt like he had all the time in the world.
My entire body locked.
My brows knotted and my heart began to race. I swallowed past the sudden confusion and blinked. Finally forced words out even though they came in a stammer.
“Y… you didn’t sleep in your room last night, Adrian?”
Adrian chuckled, completely oblivious. “Of course not. Grandma said it’s bad luck to see the bride before she walks down the aisle. She rearranged a few rooms yesterday evening. You had already gone to bed so I didn’t want to disturb you.” He tilted his head, still smiling. “Missed me?”
I could not answer.
I turned back to the open doorway. The man standing there was strikingly handsome. More than handsome. Captivating. My definition of physical perfection, dangerous in a quiet way. He looked like he had slept perfectly well.
Adrian followed my gaze. His expression shifted for a fraction of a second and the corner of his mouth lifted.
“Motherfucker,” he muttered under his breath.
Huh?
My voice came out thin. “Adrian… who’s he?”
Adrian placed a hand on my shoulder and drew me a little closer, faking an easy smile. “Elena, darling. Meet my STEPBROTHER.” He paused.
My heart sank down to my belly. Adrian was still looking at the man. “A wicked one,” he added.
The man did not flinch. His smile only widened, slow and unbothered.
Oh. Adrian had told me a lot about him even before we got close. I stared. Why did Adrian keep saying bad things about him, even right to his face? The man looked like he could not even harm a fly. Why the dislike? I did not understand it yet.
Adrian’s voice stayed light. “I believe you’ve met Damon before?”
My breath caught again. Why would he be asking me that?
“No!” I lied. The word shot out of me fast.
My heart was thundering so loudly I was sure everyone could hear it. How was I supposed to tell him anything when I did not even understand it myself?
Damon walked closer.
Up close the resemblance to last night was undeniable. Same height. Same build. The same intoxicating scent that had been all over my skin for hours. This was the last straw. I gulped, caught between guilt and denial.
His smile was beautiful. His gray eyes held that exact same quiet delight I had felt in the dark when he pulled me down against him.
He took my hand and lifted it. His lips brushed my knuckles.
Those lips.
That was how they had felt against my mouth last night. Soft at first, then hungry, sucking on my tongue while he groaned.
It had to be him.
Oh God.
I swallowed hard.
“How are you, future sister-in-law?”
His voice was low, smooth, and sexy in a way that made my stomach flip. The same voice that had only given me growls and rough sounds in the dark.
Adrian’s hand tightened slightly on my shoulder. “Let’s go join the others.”
We walked downstairs together. My legs felt so wobbly.
The breakfast table was already set in the large sunlit dining room. My parents were there, along with my cousin. Adrian’s side of the family filled the rest of the seats. His parents had died in an accident years ago, so it was mostly aunts, uncles, and Margaret, his grandmother, at the head of the table with her silver hair and pale blue eyes.
General introductions happened in a blur. I smiled, nodded, said the things I had practiced, and clenched slightly from time to time.
Meanwhile I kept stealing glances at Damon.
He sat two seats away, calmly answering questions when spoken to. He acted like this was the first time he had ever seen me. Like he had not spent half the night buried inside me, spanking my ass, making me squirt, and filling me with so much cum it had leaked down my thighs.
I was convinced now.
I had fucked Damon Vale.
I had called my future brother-in-law Daddy while he pounded me from behind.
And he was sitting there pretending we had never touched.
The questions started spinning harder inside my head.
Did he know it was me the whole time?
Was he awake from the very first touch of my hand?
Is he going to tell Adrian?
Why is he so calm?
Does he think I did it on purpose?
Is he disgusted?
A million questions flooded my mind.
Damon turned slightly and asked for the salt.
I passed it without thinking.
Our fingers brushed.
He did not even look at me. Nor give a reaction. Not even a secret glance, absolutely nothing.
Something inside me cracked.
I felt like the ground should open and swallow me whole. I could not sit there another second. I needed to speak to him. Alone. And immediately.
I stood up, voice carefully steady. “Please excuse me for a moment.”
No one questioned it.
I walked back toward the corridor on unsteady legs. The door to the room I had entered last night stood open now as the morning sunlight poured in. The bed was already made with fresh sheets. There was no sign of what had happened on that mattress only hours ago.
I stopped in the middle of the hallway.
One hand pressed to my stomach as I felt it knot at the realization. The full truth finally landed.
I did not sleep with my fiancé last night. I slept with his brother.
I had let him take me in every way he wanted. I had begged him not to stop. I slid my own brother-in,-law’s cock inside my pussy myself until I could barely remember my own name.
How frustrating. How disgusting. And the wedding was in six days.
I stared at the open doorway, heart slamming against my ribs, realizing with cold clarity that Damon’s silence might be more dangerous than any accusation.
I had no idea what he was going to do with the secret we now shared.
My mind would not stop spinning.
What if he told Adrian? What if he used it against me? What if last night had been some kind of cruel joke and I was the only one who did not know the punchline? I felt sick. Scared. Confused in a way that made my hands tremble even though I kept them clenched at my sides.
“Elena,” Adrian called, walking toward me. “You good?”
Such a good man. I did not want to break his heart. But hiding this from him…
“Adrian…” I exhaled. “There’s…”
“Brother,” Damon called from behind walking towards us and cutting me short.
Motherfucker! I cursed inwardly.
Of all the time in the world he couldn't give us a second to talk?
I exhaled.
Adrian ignored him and turned back to me, “what were you saying my darling?”
I swallowed, my eyes darting to Damon who was obviously waiting for me to speak also.
“I want to talk about something with the both of you,” Damon finally said.
My head turned to his direction sharply.
