Chapter fifty eight

The first slash of the blade through Sophia's wrists had her head reeling in pain and she could barely get a chance to scream out her horror, when Jenny dove in with the blade again, the cut so swift and deep that it tore through the zip ties that held her in place and she watched helplessly as her blood spurt out, casting streaks across Jenny's face and soaking her front dress.

Jenny pulled back sharply as the door flew and Lennox stood there, breathing hard and clutching at his rib, his eyes scanning the room until they rested on Sophia. His eyes widened in horror as they settled on her slashed wrists, then they swiftly came back to her face. He made to move towards her but Jenny rushed around Sophia, and pressed the knife to her throat, the action alone freezing Lennox in place as he glanced from Jenny to Sophia's and then back to Jenny.
