CHAPTER 2 Substitution

Wait for him to come back? He was just a one-night stand. But Sophia really did enjoy last night, so...

Sophia picked up her bag from the ground, but only found a few cents inside, which made her face flush with embarrassed.

But a few cents were better than nothing, so she threw the few coins she had onto the bed and got dressed before leaving.

Sophia relaxed her body as she left the hotel not wanting to seem tense.

The man from last night was handsome, tall, and skilled. Most importantly, he used protection. Sophia didn't want to think too much about their one-night stand.

The most important thing now was dealing with those two bastards that betrayed her. When Sophia discovered them having sex, she wanted to push the door open and curse at them to vent her bubbling rage. But Sophia knew she couldn't do that. Her father didn't like her, Ava was his beloved golden child, and even if she went to her father and explained everything, it wouldn't benefit her because he favours that brat Ava, Sophia inwardly sighed.

Decisions made in anger are impulsive, so what Sophia needed to do now was record everything as evidence and do something to calm herself down. Sophia had to be able to concot the perfect plan without anger clouding her judgment.

So she went to a nearby bar last night and urgently needed to drown in alcohol to numb her brain before getting a good night's sleep, hopefully forgetting that days anger and unhappiness.

Until she was completely drunk, Sophia stopped pouring alcohol into herself. She only remembered hugging a handsome tall man and going to a hotel together, and then only remembered the following morning what had happened. So she had no idea that someone had filmed her leaving the bar. A young woman recorded their video and made a call, "Ava, guess who I saw at the bar?"

Ava sneered, "Send me the video. I want to give this bitch Sophia a big surprise."On the way home, Sophythought about how to deal with her fiance and stepsister 's problem.

Breaking off the engagement was too simple. She didn't want these two people to escape their mistakes. She wanted them to know the consequences of angering her. When she arrived home, she saw Axel's parents' car parked in the yard.

She was puzzled and walked to the mansions double doors. Before she could push it open, she heard her stepsister Ava's crying voice from inside.

Sophia laughed in anger from behind the doors.

Sophia pushed the doors open hard creating a loud bang and walked in. "Indeed, they are a perfect match!"

Everyone in the room was startled by Sophia's sudden appearance. Ava quickly showed a worried expression, "Sister, why did you come back so late? Dad and Mom were worried about you."

"Oh dear, were you worried about me?" Sophia asked sneakily as she walked in, lifted her hand without hesitation, and slapped Ava in the face.

Everyone was surprised, no one expected Sophia to dare to hit golden child Ava.

Ava looked aggrieved and looked at Sophia incredulously, "Sister, did you misunderstand something between us?"

"Sophia! How dare you hit Ava! Apologize to her right now!" Axel stood up and shouted angrily.

Sophia gave him a cold glance, her mouth curled up in a snear, and she readily agreed, "Sure, I apologize!"

As soon as she finished speaking, she raised her hand and slapped Ava on the other side of her face. Not only that, she also kicked Axel in the stomach.

"Is this apology sincere enough?" Sophia laughed.

"Ah!" Ava cried as she clasped her red face in pain.

"Umph!" Axel fell back a little and held his stomach. "What are you doing, you crazy woman?!"

Axel's mother was also angered by Sophia's actions. "You did something wrong and still hit and blame others? You didn't even spare your own sister. You are a vicious and promisquous woman! You have to break off the engagement today! I will not have a woman like you married to my beloved son!"

"You..." Axel started to say but Ava interupted him before he said anything condeming.

"Sister, you've simply misunderstood." Ava hid in Axel's arms with her fake teary wide eyes and said pitifully, "I know you're unhappy because Axel chose me, but if you didn't have sex with another man, Auntie wouldn't have ask for this break-up..."

Sophia clapped her hands and laughed before stopping to glare at her. "You don't have to act anymore, and don't think too highly of yourself. He's just trash that I don't want anymore. If you want him, go ahead and take him."

Axel's face turned dark, and he shouted angrily, "Sophia! Who are you calling trash?"

"Sister, I know you like Axel too. Don't scold him. It's all my fault. Scold me instead."

Sophia laughed out of anger, "You don't have to apologize. There are many men better than him. I don't care about this trash that can be found If I just go have a look in the bin."

"Are you saying you've found a new love?" Ava's tone was full of sarcasm.

Axel sneered and echoed, "Did you fall for some male stripper? Or did you find a man better than me as you claimed?"

Sophia didn't want to admit defeat at this time and smirked, "Of course. I don't have to look hard. Many men know that to have me as theirs is a huge reward. Why should I want to be with someone who clearly doesn't respect me? Such as you." Ava didn't believe it but still pretended to be happy for Sophia and kindly suggested, "If that's the case, then bring him to our engagement party in a few days. Will you?"

Axel also sneered, "I really want to see this supposed boyfriend too." "Just you wait and see." Sophia smirked."He truly is a sight to behold."
