Chapter 6 - Kohi

Ryu took the train on the way home. He walked the street on the way to his apartment. It was a cold night. He felt the wind blowing against his hot face. He smiled and liked how soothing it felt. When he arrived at the apartment, he pulled his keys from his pocket and entered. The lights were turned off as he walked in. Ryu wondered if Yuka was already on her way home and if he should have just approached her and asked her to go home with him. He took off his shoes as he turned on the lights. He walked inside and found Yuka sleeping on the sofa. She was still wearing the same clothes when he saw her tonight. Ryu immediately switched off the light and switched on the light in the Kitchen instead to avoid waking up Yuka. Ryu was about to go inside his room when he noticed that the windows were open in the living room and the cold was blowing inside where Yuka was sleeping. Ryu walked back to the living and closed the window. Yuka was all cuddled up on the sofa and looked like she was all passed out from that drinking. Must have been a great night he thought.

He walked towards the fridge and drank a whole bottle of water. He was about to enter his room when he remembered Yuka sleeping on the couch. Ryu thought of going inside Yuka's room to grab her blanket but thought he might be invading her privacy and that's the last thing he wanted to do. If it was Nato he probably just have slapped him on the face and tell him to get up and sleep in his room. Ryu decided to take off his jacket and just cover Yuka with it. It wouldn't be weird since he's already wearing it and it's not like he's making an extra effort to cover her.

After taking a shower, Ryu went to check if Yuka was still sleeping.  She didn't even move a bit from where he left her. He then decided to take another bottle of water and left it on the table across from where Yuka was sleeping. He thought that she was probably too drunk to drink enough water to hydrate herself which would be such an inconvenience to have a headache he thought. 

Ryu entered his bedroom and turned his PC on. He sat on his bed to check on his phone while waiting for his PC to start up. He got a text message from Ishi and Tomo confirming that they safely delivered the packaged and arrived home safely. Packaged means the drunk Nato went home safe. Ryu sent a text message back confirming that he also arrived home safe. The guys would always do this after a night out when Nato had gone missing and his mother started calling all of them to check where Nato was since he hasn't come home yet and was not responding to any of his mother's texts or calls.  All the guys went out to look for him until morning, only to find out that he was sleeping outside the train station.

Ryu checked his e-mail just to remind him of what are the things that he still needs to finish. He laid his back on the bed. He was tired but he knows he have to start working tonight or else it'll be hard for him to catch up after being sick for almost a week. He wanted to work but he was too lightheaded from drinking. He wanted to sleep but couldn't even convince himself to with the load of work that was pending. He stood up from the bed and decided to grab a sweater from his closet to head outside to buy coffee. He promised himself that after this huge project that he was working on, he'll take a break to see his parents.

Ryu walked outside of his bedroom and was surprised to see Yuka sitting on the sofa awake. "Hey," Ryu said. "Hey," Yuka said back. "You good?" Ryu asked Yuka as he walks towards her. "Yeah, I'm good. Thanks for the jacket and water." Yuka said shyly. "No worries," Ryu said. "Are you heading out?" Yuka asked. "Yeah. I'll just grab a coffee." Ryu said. "This late?" Yuka asked in surprise. "Yeah. There's a coffee bar around the area that is open until morning." Yuka asked Ryu if she could come with him.  "Are you sure? It'll be quite a walk from here." Ryu said confused about how she woke up like she didn't pass out from drinking and now she's asking if she could come with him.  "Yeah," Yuka said as she stood up. "You might want to grab that jacket, it's cold outside." Ryu pointed to his jacket on the sofa "Is that okay?" Yuka looked at Ryu's jacket. "You already have it, might as well used it," Ryu said with a smile. "Thanks." Yuka then grabbed the jacked as he followed Ryu to the door on the way out to their apartment. 

Yuka felt the cold after they came out of the apartment and was grateful that Ryu offered her his jacket or else she would have walked out of the apartment and pretended that it wasn't cold. The jacket felt warm and comforting that smelled like a woody perfume mixed with mint and cigarette. Yuka finds Ryu very cold as a person yet there's warmth inside him that would break his ice at any time. There's no doubt in her that Ryu will someday be famous with his talent, discipline, and looks. She thought it was amazing that she gets to witness an upcoming artist flourished his way to the top. She smiled thinking of how nice it was to meet Ryu before fame comes running after him.

"Are you smiling?" Yuka looked at Ryu who caught her off guard. "Yeah. Just remembered something funny from the dinner." Yuka said relieved that she was able to say something. "Must have been fun for you?" Ryu said smiling almost a laugh remembering how drunk Yuka just was and the next minute she was walking to the coffee shop with him. "Yeah, it was." Yuka smiled.  "By the way, I came across Tomi this afternoon. " Yuka said. "Yeah, he did say," Ryu answered as she directs Yuka that they should turn right.  "Were you guys with Nato?" Ryu slipped his hands inside the pocket of his sweater. "Yeah, we were. He came from a company party and went to drink with us after." He answered. "He's a bad drinker isn't he?" Yuka laughed. "The worst." Ryu agreed with a laugh. It's weird that they barely know each other yet felt like they knew each other very well when they talked about Nato.
