Carrie

"We're here, Miss Carrie. Forgive me, but I can no longer accompany you inside."

"It's okay. Thank you," I uttered. The tracker bowed his head one last time before walking away. Meanwhile, I stared at the Blackmoon pack house, remembering a figment of my past engraved into it.

Stepping onto the familiar grounds of this house sent a whirlwind of emotions coursing through me. Nervous anticipation mingled with a pang of nostalgia, creating a bittersweet feeling that I struggled to navigate. I took a deep breath, trying to steady my racing heart as I braced myself for the encounter ahead.
