Augustus Villa

Milan, Italy

Adam's POV:

Why am I taking Rose to meet Jenifer? What is it that I want to achieve with this? Its not like that I have ever taken a female employees of Augustus Corporation randomly to meet Jenifer.

Because you bastard she is not falling down on your feets like female species do. Even though you are not a playboy you do enjoy all the fucking attention you recieve and since she is not entailing you any, you are making her jealous. Sneered my conscious at me.

The sudden revelation caused me to abruptly stop the car and Rose went flying to dashboard despite the seatbelt.

I sighed and asked her to get out and wait for me in living room. She tried to defy me but one glare from me was enough to do what she is told to. 

I need a minute to compose myself. The fact has rendered me speechless which happens once in a lifetime. 

Rose's POV:

What the heck am I doing in the living room of Augustus Villa? I questioned to myself. 

You are following the absurd orders of your so called new boss. I reminded myself. I take few deep breaths to rein in my anger at the brute. 

At the entrance door of villa, there was a helper to open door for me and the interiors of this extraordinarily magnificent villa left me speechless. In my anger, I has missed the exterior architecture but if it anything go by, then this is a piece to be marvelled at. 

Now, I was in the living room admiring the stunning paintings of world renowned artists hanging on the wall when my thought of line was interrupted "Ma'am, what would you like to have?" A woman in mid-fifties questioned. She is the housekeeper. I concluded from the way of her dressing. 

"A glass of water, please." I requested politely while not able to take my eyes off the stunning piece adoring the living room wall. 

"I will bring it for you. Ms. Jenifer will be with you in a minute." She informed and left. 

I was marvelling at the stunning interiors of living room when both Jenifer and Adam came at the same time but from opposite sides. 

Jenifer is a beautiful brunette with glossy brown eyes and pale skin. She was dressed in a light peach blouse and white jeans looking like million dollar bucks. How can someone be so pretty in a simple jeans and top? I sighed thinking. 

"Jenifer, This is Rose. She is working on new venture of Augustus Corporation." Adam introduced us while snaking his arm around Jenifer's waist and kissing her temple. 

"Hello Jenifer." I greeted her and waited for her response. 

She first scrutinized me and then muttered a dry hello. 

What is her problem? I did not came here by myself. I did came here because I was invited by her rude boyfriend. I sneered while thinking about it. 

"Sir... I mean Adam. What am I doing here?" I questioned after tolerating five minutes of total ignorance from both of them as they are lost in their own world.

"Rose, wait for me in my office." Adam stated without explaining further. He signalled to his housekeeper and she nodded in my direction and asked me to follow her.

I quitely followed her and waited for His Highness in his office.

Adam's POV:

My eyes involuntarily followed Rose. She is a stunning beauty there is no scope of discussion in there. The light sway of her hips and those long legs aroused me without taking a fucking second. How would it feel to have them wrapped around me, while I make love to her? 

What the heck am I thinking? You love Jenifer. Don't think about Rose. Rose is no one to you. 

I was so lost in fantasies of my Rose that I did not even hear Jenifer calling me. She shouted to drag me out of imagination.

"Where are you lost?" She questioned me. 

"I was thinking of the proposition I have for Rose." I lamely explained.

"Its business." I muttered not wanting her to know what I plan on doing.

Jenifer's POV:

I can tell that Adam is attracted to Rose. Which fucking male would not be attracted to her? She is drop dead gorgeous with an hourglass figure to go with. And what more attract men to her like bees on honey is her naviety.

She can be dangerous for me in near future. I have to keep Adam steer clear of her. For that I need to find out what proposition Adam has for Rose.

Rose's POV:

After few minutes of waiting, Adam entered his office. I stood up when he entered as a sign if respect. No doubt he is hard headed, arrogant and rude but he is legendary in business world, just like his father, THE SEBASTIAN AUGUSTUS. 

The way they both conduct business and behave is way too similar as per the people who have interacted with them.

Actually, interaction is wrong word. Augustus' don't interact they bark orders. So, the correct statement would be the father and the son are way too similar as per those on whom they have barked orders on. 

"Sit down." Adam barked while taking his seat. 

I complied faster than my brain comprehended his command. The sexual tense in the room was palpable. Rose can feel the charm and sex appeal this junior Augustus oozes. 

"I have an offer for you. The position of Vice President, Trade and Operations of Augustus Group." Adam stated while handing Rose a contract and dismissing her with the wave of his hand. 

Rose shakily took the contract and fled from the room. If she would have stayed a second more she would have jumped on him like a wanton whore.

When she reached the living room, her train of thoughts was halted by the voice of Jenifer. 

She suddenly started feeling guilty for being attracted to a taken man. 

"Rose, What did Adam wanted to discuss with you?" Jenifer questioned her. 

"Nothing much. He was just offering me a position at Augustus Group. I would like to take my leave now." Rose explained briefly and left from there. When she reached outside, security head of Adam, Javier was waiting for her with a cadillac in tow. 

"Ma'am, Mr. Augustus has asked me to drop you at your residence." Javier muttered. 

"Sure. Thank you." Rose replied while getting in the vehicle. 

Javier's POV:

Javier scrutinies the woman his boss has asked to drop her at her residence. She was the one whom he has ordered to investigate. 

All the investigations by Augustus Group goes from Michaelson and my hands. So, I know she was the one my boss has demanded to know everything about. 

He immediately dropped a message to Sebastian Augustus regarding all that has happened regarding Rose. 

"May I please know your name?" Miss. Carter politely questioned me. 

"I am Javier Landon." I replied. 

"Mr. Landon. May I ask you a question?" She continued. 

"Yes, please. Feel free to ask Miss. Carter." I responded. 

"Rose, please. Is it difficult to work directly under Augustus'?" She questioned timidly as if any of the Augustus will jump out from nowhere and chew her alive for asking such a question about them. 

"Honestly Rose, it is very easy quite contrary to what people think. The so called barking of orders is nothing but clear cut what you need to do. There is no scope of interpretations, as long as you follow what you are told, it is one of the best jobs in the world." I told her while rolling my eyes at her dubious expression. 

Rose's POV:

He is nuts. If he thinks working for arrogant and rude devils is easy. 

I guess, I have a lot to think about in next few days. This is a difficult decision but if I accept it will be a huge leap in my career.
