Chapter 38 - Are you disgusted by me?

I stood up from the bed after I was assured she was asleep. I didn't want to encounter any of her questions before I'm ready. I went towards the balcony and leaned onto the railing. I fished out a cigarette packet from my pocket and lit one. I usually don't smoke unless I'm stressed. My phone vibrated in my pocket and I took it out just to find the old man to call me. With a frown plastered on my face, I answered the call. 

"Did you both reach safely?" 

My frown increased more at his concern. I thought he would have his men tagged along with us. 

"I'll surely not send my man on my grandson's honeymoon." 

The word grandson felt so good from his mouth after such a long time. Covering my shock state, I decided to ask him the questions I had swimming in my mind, 

"You knew about Valentina!"
