Chapter 8 - Upcoming Storm

Valentina opened her eyes groggily when she felt something unusual around her. When she opened her eyes, she was met with darkness and a shadow which was sitting beside her. 

At first she was scared but when the manly cologne hit her nostrils, she sobered up. She was married and was probably on the plane with Xavier. 

What scared her was not the darkness, rather the incoherent murmuring that came out of Xavier's mouth. It sounded painful as he stuttered on his words. 

"Mr. Night!!!" 

Valentina didn't call him with his name because he isn't her friend nor someone she is close to. Was it the actual reason or she was shy to call him by his name?
